Calm down. Drop ships have been known about for months, hell they're on our enemies page. Of course no one actually bothers to view those pages now do they?
 
Not to mention he could've been just generally asking if it's possible to make a dropship. It's a perfectly viable question, kids. Simma down now.

Still, might be good to have the thread titled something that lets people know that it's going to talk about the beta and unseen enemies. What is it with people and nonsense titles anyways? :)

I mean, yeah, I'm a sucker, I'll click on a thread entitled "OMG purple WTHBBQ monkey!" or "Look at this..." but what are people THINKING when they title threads like that? :)

I personally did not know about them. I consider it a minor spoiler, but I'm not incensed over it.

Around July last year...

God, I and other staff spend days on these sections and no one ever looks at them :p
 
Hey, I look at them! I like going over the weapons and enemies every once in a while, it reminds me how many cool ones there are.

No seriously dude, I looked at the enemies page a week after E3 and I didn't see it. Was I high or something?

Am I the only one here who saw the manatee kinda dropships in the vids or is there a another kind of aircraft?

he didn't spill anything. Just because he says dropship, it doesn't mean he's giving away that there's one in the game. Quit being a fool.

He's just saying it's capable in the Source engine, which again, we've known about for a while.

You guys had better pay more attention to the competition me and HotSoup have been working our arse off for! Or there'll be hell to pay!! And you'll miss out on the cool prizes :p

uhm..boys... i wanted to do a coop game ala 'aliens' with hl2 when it ships, so i asked rick about the possibilities of vehicle modding.
dropships are no invention by valve :monkee:

he said in the email that he wouldnt know why it causes lag to do so.

i remember playing bf1942 .. if you're in a vehicle with lots of ppl, it lags, same goes for being on the aircraft carrier when some1 is driving it etc, but then again bf1942 didnt have good netcoding apparently
 
lol, pre- 1.3 bf42 was a lag hellhole.... but more recent versions are awsome...
