Long Beep

512 pc100 ram
AIW 9000pro
xp sp2

i go to start, shutdown, standby, i wait 10 seconds, everythign goes to standby, i click my power button to bring it out of stand by, i hear a very loud long beep!! from my comp.

never liked stand by in the first place. should just turn off the comp in the first place. a few more seconds boot time isnt going to kill ya

Are you sure you are supposed to hit the power button to get it out of standby mode? It also could be just a simple default beep that is suppose to occur when it goes out of standby.

i highly agree

i press keyboard, and move mouse nothing gets it to come back, the only button that works is the power, i didnt try the reset yet, but id otn want to hit reset .

i think you right its just a default beep.
