hmm... when thinking of words linked to "windows", vista is quite far down the list for me. I must not be sophisticated enough. "Microsoft Windows Call Centre" would be more fitting, given that 90% of my encounters with the word "Windows" involves me trying to get across to someone in a far flung country that "no, my Dad isn't in and that even if he was, he wouldn't want to buy any of your goddamned double glazing".

Actually, they should call the next version "Windows Double Glazed". Anyway, what are the improvments in this version in Vista? Seems to me that all every new version of Windows actually does is move the location of the "My Computer", "My Documents" and "Control Panel" icons. Usually where they're harder to get at.

vista isn't really bad. its very descriptive. if someone can think of something better, please do.

Seriously guys, you all will be totally fine with the name a month after it is out. I'm already seeing it on the retail boxes. Personally I like it.
