im makeing mod well i want to but im like a total noob to moding so i need a

Coder
Modeler
Mapper
Skinner
Wrighter

etc

my mod is a half life 2 singel player game reply here or pm me if you will help.
 
i will be very surprised if you get one offer of help.

you need to make a website and possibly some work to start with to get people interested. and at the very least tell us what the mod is about and try to get peoples attention. do you honestly believe people will help you if you simply ask for it?
 
nope but still im trying lol i would prefer it if ppl would send me tutorels or sumthin thanks for the reply dude lol
 
Try spelling words, people would be more likely to help if you used grammer.
 
I have a feeling this is all one big prank, but in the off chance that it isn't you need at least a concept to get people interested.
 
why would i pull some prank im trying to lern and noone is willing to help
 
People who start mods without the slightest idea of what they are doing usually die a horrible quick death.
 
i never said i havent an idea, i have a idea a basic understanding of hammer etc ppl can u either help me or not man this forum isent frendly

If you don't have an idea of what you want the mod to play like at the very least then no one's going to try and help you. Why should they?

this forum is friendly their just pointing out some facts for example you wont get anyone wanting to join your mod team if you dont even post what your mod is about. there are many tutorials on mapping try halflife2world or snarkpit and for modeling a quick google search should give you lots of tutorials. also People who start mods without the slightest idea of what they are doing actualy die a long drawn out painfull death which usualy starts with their fingernails beeing pulled out.
 
im doing tutorials and im picking up hammer my mod is hope fully a basic 1 player stargate war mod like star wars battlefrount. i only said the ppl on this forum werent friendly because of kronos02 wasent in the slightest.
 
There was no hostile or offensive intent in my original post. It was however my opinion that you were just trying to get a laugh, because:

1) From your post history it almost seemed as if you were using a disposable account
2) Your spelling is a little off, which I assumed was done on purpose (Wrighter?)
3) You did not include any information at all on the mod aside from the fact that it's "a half life 2 singel player game"

That being said, I have no problem whatsover with you as a valid newbie modder, which is how we all got started. Still, you'll need to be more specific about the mod if you really want to attract people to work on it, which was the main point of my post.
 
well anyway i have been now i want to make a multi player stargate mod, i want to to be like starwars battlefrount. i want to add 2 or 3 races you can play as with around 6 weapons for each army. i want to have around 3 detailed maps with a working stargate, i dont know what to call it but i know i need help with it.

this is the mod i want to make not the perveous description.
 
Ok, since you are new on the forums I will tell you that it's not a good idea to do a MOD based on Stargate. IP infringement have been discussed to death. If you steal the Stargate idea and the name, your MOD will be shut down the minute your Web site is online.

Now you can look at what elements of gameplay in BattleFront you like and what elements you like in SG and then make something similar but unique in its own way. Good luck.
 
yeh i know im new to this forum ive beed on to modding for like 2 mounths and looking for mods but i have seen that there are a few that MGM ignore if you put up disclamers etc saying that the charicters and names are creations of MGM, also my game is not based upon the TV seires SG-1 or Atlantis.

so i think i will be ok if i have any trouble ill give up but untill then i will keep trying.

u need to get good at modeling and animating and stuff before u can even think about the idea of your mod because you dont want to waste time making maps and stuff only to find out how hard it is to get custom weapons and stuff ingame and then give up
