looking for modelers..

with 3 teams and over 60 weapons, i wish i could animate right now!
 
60 weapons = 120 models
3 teams = round about 18 player models + lod = 54 player models
54 player models = 54 textures
54 textures = 3 levels of Radient and bump maps = 162 textures/bumps/etc...
4 types of maps = 18 maps
18 maps = 100/200 textures
18 maps = 180/400 Prefabs
180/400 Prefabs = 540/1200 Prefab Models (LOD systems)
540/1200 Prefab Models = 540/1200 textures
540/1200 textures = 1620/3600 bump maps and radient maps etc...

I am not expert but thats around about:

Models: 1374
Textures: 3962

60 weapons is way too many weapons in the first place, but either way, it's still just 60 models. LODs do not take too long, so you can't count them as a separate model.

Once again, LODs do not take very long to make, so you cannot count them as separate models. That brings it back down to 18. Plus most likely at least two of the models from each will be able to be created by just editing another one from the same team. This brings it down to 12, with the extra work we can call it 13.

First of all, you wouldn't have to texture each LOD differently. Second of all as I said before, there wouldn't be 54 player models.

I don't know what you meant by "Radient" maps. Anyway, bump and specular maps don't take much time at all, so it's pretty much just around 14 textures for the players (factoring in an extra amount of time it would take to edit the textures after editing the model to a different class).

I doubt there would be that many maps. I also doubt that high amount of prefab objects will be needed.

Once again, LODs do not take very much time, so bring that back down to your already extremely high 180/400 amount. Again, it will be only 180/400 textures, not 540/1200. LODs do not need their separate texture. Bump and "radient" (it's spelled "radiant" by the way, and I believe you're talking about specular) maps do not take much time, so take those away.

Anyway, you're wrong.
 
yeah, your math is a bit off

I guess you mean color map by radiant map,,,,

unless you're talking about irradiance mapping which in the case of playermodels is just a fancy word for light baking
 
Ye well obviasly its over exagerated. I am not going to spend 30minutes thinking of exact figures. I did it in like 1 minute with windows Calculator. It wasn't suposed to be acurate. I was just making him think about how much work will be involved to have like 60 weapons and 3 teams etc...
 
we know its gonna be alot of work, which is y we r looking for ppl to help..
 
Ickle word of advice. Use 'you' 'why' and 'are' when looking for help. Don't abbrieviate, it looks very unprofessional.
 
You're over your head on this. Try making a beta phase, where you get some 10, 20 weapons and scale it up from that, not proposing this ridiculous amount of models for start....
 
we might have less weapons in the first beta, but it will still be a large amount, the reason for so many guns is because each team has its own weapon choices, no weapons are shared between teams, n if u want to give sugestions to the mod, leave em at the mods forum pls
