Looking for /serious/ mappers and coders

fair enough you wont post your ideas to get people interested but at least post your work.

I have posted ample amounts of info, but I will in no way post the details of each thing in public yet. Either you are interested or your not. End of story. Obviously if your not interested to begin with, then why would you be interested if I exposed more details?

Mchart, what exactly is your position on the mod team?

I am not exactly sure what i'm supposed to answer, but I will take a guess at what you are asking.

Mappers are free to design any kind of map for the mod, provided it meets a certain criteria for what it contains, etc..

Coders will be expected to do what is asked of them, they will have influence on certain aspects of the mod though.

Modelers will have almost complete freedom

Everyone on the team though will have a very large influence on how the mod ends up, since they are of course developing it. But I will make sure certain things remain the same.
I'm not really sure what your question is though, so yeah.

if you're looking for serious developers this isn't the place to look

If your looking to be an ass, this is not the place to be it.

Obviously if you are modding a game, you are developing.

Calm down a little, kid. Dassbaba wasn't trying to be facetious. He's right - the majority of coders who post here have their own projects, so it's a bit like searching for a small diamond in a pit of sand.

thank you :)

I don't appreciate trolls. You don't see me coming into his threads making useless/flamebait comments, and I did not appreciate the derogatory remark.

I don't understand you people. I understood what Mchart was saying from the very first post. No need to plaster his thread with excessive nit-picking when it's dead-obvious what he's talking about. Just take it for what it's worth.

By the way, it sounds like a very promising idea, and indeed extremely new.

If there's one thing that's never been done before, it's a resourceful, thoughtful monster survival game based on teamplay, barricades, fortresses of protection, resources, food, etc... and not walking around picking up ammo and herbs, and shooting zombies that come crashing through windows.

Sounds promising, especially if the gameplay can be pulled off in a progressive, rewarding way (meaning some engaging victory condition, on top of all the stockpiling of resources and mowing down of zombies gameplay, to keep people playing even after they get over the gameplay - you know, some rewarding way to win)

This could be one of those mods that's being played 5 years from now, with large human teams strategizing against a mob of difficult monsters.

I'll be looking forward to this. Sorry I can't help though. :O
