Again, he fell victim to the rumors. It's going to be released sept. 30th.

But of course we should ignore what Valve and Sierra are saying; Ryan Davis knows all because he is age 24!!! :eek:

BTW, that particular game site fell victim to the HL2 delay hysteria just a couple of months ago.

That doesnt' matter. Gamespot isn't like PHL, it doesn't beg for Vivendi's tablescraps, nor the bones they throw.
 
I too still believe its coming out on September 30th, I mean Gabe himself said it would.

But still, the article was posted more recently than Sierra's claims of on-time shipping. And Half-Life 1 wasn't exactly on time.

Yes it's delayed, we finally have proof because some guy at Gamespot briefly mentioned it in an editorial. I guess the only option is mass-suicide.:cheers:
 
I swear to God, people need to just keep their mouth shut about "possible delays". Why? Because unless it gets officially announced, it's Pure Grade A Bull.
 
To my knowledge, their would be only one possible time-frame that it would be delayed, and that would be if Gabe or someone else came out on the day it is supposed to go gold and say it's going to be delayed.
 
There is no date in the aricle.. it might be 2 weeks old when all of us thought its going to be delayed..

It remains to be seen if valve can release on time. History isn't exactly on their side. I remember half-life for dreamcast. It was "guaranteed" to be released on 5 DIFFERENT dates. Guess what? The game ended up being canceled. The point is this, just because Valve "guaranteed" that HL2 will be released on Sept. 30, doesn't mean that they won't fall victim to their past ways.
 
Who cares really if its the last day of September or midway thru November. Its downright scary to see some peoples entire lives are centered around the release of this game. I want it quite bad, but its not a matter of dire importance or life and death.
 
Dude, Half-Life for the Dreamcast wasn't even being worked on by Valve.. Captivation Digital Laboratories and Gearbox Software did the port. (Gearbox being the company who released Opposing Force when they said they would, btw)

If you want to rag on Valve for something, do it for Half-Life, Team Fortress Classic, various HL patches, the Steam beta, and the HL2 movies all being late. At least then you'd be referring to something they had actual control over ;)

I'm actually more optomistic that Valve will meet the Sept. 30th date than I was six months ago. I wouldn't put money on it though :D

gamespot was one of the first people to post the initial delay bs months ago.

"highly respected"!? i'm sorry, and maybe they are relative to other game sites, but on the whole I don't a think a single game site in the world qualifies as "highly respected". the @#)$ing New York Times is highly respected.

Hey, its alright to flame, and tell him "dont post here n00b" and whatnot, but dont start callin him "****ing dumbass*, etc. etc. and stuff like that. Theres no need for this. Going to that extent calling someone names like those isn't any better than them posting another Delay thread like this.

Ok? Well, why not? Do u think intellectual paragraphs are gunna make "Delay threads stop? NO!! U call them names and make them feel as bad as possible so they dont do it again

Or dont respond at all. But to disallow name calling is just as bad as making a Delay thread in my opinion

Yea, just why waste your time tho? Just simply state it's off-topic. No matter how many times you do it, they're going to keep doing it, and doing it, and doing it. Some people create an account on here just to post stupid threads like that anyway, and then never use that account again. So if thats the case, then your falling as their prey.

you disable the script a day before sept. 30
besides that, there's never been a delay, so why say "no more delay"
and if the game is out, that's a stupid title because every games site will have the information anyway if you want to find out if it made the sept. 30 release date
