Looney Tunes Reimagined

"For "Loonatics," the six characters are being projected 700 years into the future, given superpowers, and outfitted in tight-fitting, slenderizing space gear."

pffft thts just stupid

What have they done :(

"For "Loonatics," the six characters are being projected 700 years into the future, given superpowers, and outfitted in tight-fitting, slenderizing space gear. "

:|

"Apparently, falling anvils and exploding cigars are no longer enough to keep kids 6 to 11 years old entertained. "

Children will entertain themselves with whatever you give them. If you keep offering them more and more, then they'l take it without thought.

:O This should surely show them their wrong doing

oh god ..when will they stop bleeding every single intellectual property dry? Bugs, daffy, elmer J etc are classics because of Mel Blanc not because of what they look like

that is corperate america for you :x

Why must you make me and babies cry, america? why? :(

"This is a kids show intended for kids today who are growing up in the Internet age, an age of technology, an age of hip, cool animation, and something that we hope will resonate with that age group," explained Sander Schwartz, president of Warner Bros. Animation

:x Ew... I thought when my school put random anime characters pointing guns at my face all over my student organiser was wrong... But this? God. :x

This is pretty sad, but meh its not like they can erase all the old and best cartoons, so its all still good.

/me realises that he shoudn't be using the original first Superman comic as a napkin..

*ahem*>_>

My god, I read this after having just seen an ad on the WB for a brand new Saturday morning cartoon about Sherlock Holmes in the year 3000 with super-powers, a cloned, cybernetic version of Watson as his sidekick, and a flying goddamn car.

new futuristc looney tunes whit super powers that make fights in the space?

thats retarded

I keep whit the clasics

If thats what kids want to see today then I am making sure that when I have a kid he or she will watch the cartoons I watched. I'll buy every season of Looney Toons and the Ninja Turltes on DVD if I have too.

HELLO GOD PLEASE KILL ME NOW GHAHGHADRYR****GIDJSORUIDFUJSHTISHSITSHITKADAISHKRAKAMANG

Correct-o-mondo, kids are being brainwashed with marketing through cartoons and comics now adays. It actually gives me a bad feeling in my gut whenever i see something like Pokémon on TV. It's all about the cash, no nourishing value at all.

oh ffs, why do they keep doing things like this too make more money!.

whats the point, if it could ruin the image of the classics.
i loved the classics.

if they remade Tom and Jerry(the ones made by Fred Quimby)... id be well pissed. < my fave cartoon of all time :D

I've never liked Bugs Bunny/Tom and Jerry or anything like that.. but still, these 'Loonatics' sound awful :/

Tom are Jerry are cool!

Lo shipp, havnt talked to you ina while, i never go on msn tbh..

Bugs Bunny > Tom and Jerry

This is a stupid idea, I dont want my children to grow up watching that crap

Replace scene of bugs nibbling on a carrot then stating 'Whats up doc?'

with a scene of bugs toking on a joint and stating 'Sup dawg?'

Same program, just edited to fit in with the currently-ars*f*cked state the world is in. Look on the bright side, there's always suicide.

Elmer fudd is only going to be chasing bugs because he is black.

And secondly," he said, "these are cartoons. Lighten up! They're fun and the existence of one doesn't preclude the existence of another."
I have to kind of agree with that. And does anyone actually think that this show is gonna be around for more than a few weeks?

Erm, is it wrong for me to be mildly scared by this revamp? They look... Unsettling. The revisioned darker Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles worked, because that was a dark show to begin with... But with this they've just taken the inherent violence of the original and torn it from its sugar coated shell... Oh good God.

That said, Taz looks pretty cool, and at least by calling him "Spaz" they're acknowledged the fact that he's special needs...

AND they're changing the packaging for Smarties! WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END!?

They called him Spaz? I wonder how long it'l be before the ole Spastic Society get on their case (of course, they aren't called the spastic society anymore)

Wow, after watching that, I am going to pour ink all over random comics and see if they get super powers...

:|

I hate all this stylized crap that's on nowadays. I think it started with the Power Puff Girls, but it's trendy to like them.

buzz bunny? ack!

i don't really have a problem with this, as i don't think i'll be watching it, but they definately should not get rid of the old ones...

You whiners.

Exactly. The classics still live. Who cares if they model new characters after the old.
Its not like they haven't done this before! Tiny Toons, anyone?

And who knows,. it might even be funny. (probably not, but hey! who knows)

So who the hell cares?!

F|uke, replace Looney Tunes with Half-life and you would get this:

That's right, kids! Gordon is now in the year 4050, but you ask "whadda about the crowbar?" SCREW THAT! Gordon now has a super-powerful robotic arm that can crush everything

What about the HEV suit? That's gone too! People just aren't entertained by the crowbar or the HEV suit, so now Gordon wears the super-powerful kung-fu suit of magic!. Okay, the Gman was cool, right? WRONG! No one liked the Gman so we will throw him out and replace him with a talking buffalo FROM THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yea, I know. I need to sleep more.

But the point is, they are basically destroying the point behind Looney Tunes by making them crime fighting super hereos in teh year 2777 :|

And, yes. I've seen that show where the looney tunes are babies. I hated that too.

My friend bought some "anime day planner" it had a different character and a bio and a quote on each page. It disgusted me, so I burned it. He was quite upset, and my "I saved you from anime!" argument could not sway his opinion.

Anyway BOT
The kids Wb has done this and will continue to do this, they did it with batman. DAMN THEM2

what fluke said hav some point

but after see that trailer I just want to say:

its gonna ZUCKZ

that "buzz" line "whats up doc" was lame

bah. capitalism.

its all going to end in tears, you know...

The news Bugs- I mean, Buzz Bunny sounds absolutely horrible. He sounds like the kind of guy that should be selling me crack in a shady alley late in the night.
