Looney Tunes Reimagined

The news Bugs- I mean, Buzz Bunny sounds absolutely horrible. He sounds like the kind of guy that should be selling me crack in a shady alley late in the night.

He sorta looks it too...with Taz (Sorry, Spaz..) being the gangster muscle.
:O Its basically Looney Toons on crack! (Or Looney Toons "on acid" if you've seen Bill Bailey ;))

EDIT: More proof!
"I made a few phone calls and organized this little group"
"Roadster the speed."

Yea, Batman of the Future is odd too.

yeah, it tries to have things hppen that would 'appeal to the youth of today'. I watched an episode where he gets addicted to drugs and kills somebody. :O

This is slightly off-topic, but who was that character with the black face and a green helmet type thing? He scared me when I was little. I think he was always chasing someone, but I really can't remember

oh man.. :(
i am sad after reading that...how could anyone touch these toons after all the success they've had? :|

/me sighs

You've gotta remember though, these characters haven't had any success in years. What was the last mildly successful thing that this property turned out, Space Jam? Like it or not, kids today really aren't entertained with anvils dropping on heads. Even when I was a kid, I hated the Looney Toons. I always dreaded that Looney Tunes block on Nickelodeon. The only character I found funny was Foghorn Leghorn (who has mercifully been omitted from this travesty of a show).

How many of us watch Saturday morning cartoons anyway? Are any of us really going to care what some little kids are watching? If it entertains them, great. If you're an adult and you get pissed off at what someone does to an old favorite show of yours, well, sorry but that's the biz. I'm one of the biggest Transfans ever; you guys see all the shit they put out nowadays for Transformers? Geh. But, nothing I can do about it. I just laugh when the shows inevitably bomb, as will this. They're trying to play to a crowd that has a different taste by reimagining some characters that were for a completely different generation, rather than come up with something original. It just doesn't work that way.

Also, response to some people talking about the futuristic Batman: I loved Batman Beyond. First episode, Bruce Wayne shoots a man. That's why he said "never again," and hung up the suit. That was so great. Plus the new guy wasn't bad, the animation style was good and the stories were pretty good. I remember when Terry (the new Bat) had to fight some psychic girl or something, and he asked Bruce, "You don't believe me, do you?"
"Sure I do. I've seen it all, kid."
It was, at least, a far better show than "The Batman," which is currently airing on the WB. Last episode of that I watched, the Penguin knew kung fu, flipping around with acrobatics. "Something I picked up from the Orient."
