"Losing my Halfe-Life 2"

Its been 4 months and 8 days sense Half-Life 2 was suppost to come out, and during that time i was losing my faith. questioning why am i waiting for this game. depressed i look towards the internet for some glint of hope... none. lost in my thoughts i look at in my hardrive to clean up some junk, there i find the file hl2_improved_gsi. I had totally forgotten about it, quickly i play it. after the 25 minutes of Hl2, i remember why i had wanted the game in the first place. the strider reaking havok down main street, the dune buggy running over the soldiers, shooting wood and watch it break in all its glory. Then i think, wow this story is gonna kick ass. Then i try to imagine Day of Defeat and Counter-Strike with the Source engine..... its gonna be a new kingdom. And you have to tell your self Rome was not Built in one day... it took 6 years

It's a game. Come on now. If you get depressed over a game being delayed then I think you have more larger issues to deal with.

It's never to late to develop a social life. Ever hear of a 'friend'? They are pretty cool to have. Beyond what you may believe,yes, there is a world outside your house.

Dark2Light, I did the same thing a while ago... went back and watched that whole movie... it was sweet. :)
 
lol its not that hard to figure out , just cause he said that dosn't mean he sits down everyday and marks off on a calender :p

Yes, it's the same footage as the 600 MB initial release, fileplanet released a slightly better recording about a week later (roughly the same size). Picture is clearer, but not by much and certainly not as good as the binks.

And it's a pity HL2 has been delayed. And remember lads, we're ALL on a gaming forum. Please don't insult new members :)

I killed mine with an axe after they said 'HL2 is gonna suck, Doom 3 rulezzzz' ;(
 
not really depressed, valve can shove it up their stooooopid asses
 
When i.m losing faith in hl2 i remember those 5 years spent playing hl1 on my k6, always work, and brings a tear to my eye too...

Yea, my forums are my life too, with my blog and HL, of course my (maybe someday) girlfriend...
 
Hehe, kool, i wish i had money, well i do, but it's all spent cigarettes and cpu stuff...
 
we are getting off topic, so how to keep your faith in HL2 ?
I'd say put and alyx poster on your wall,,,
Look back at all the movies, and the screenies,
DON'T play the beta,,, (god, i wish i hadn't, especially when i listened to all the .WAV, totally spoiled major parts of the storyline...)
you should be fine with tath...
