i pre-ordered HL2 before the game came out in 2004 and was happyu enough when it arrived. I enjoyed playing it though the graphics were poor due to my graphics card. completed it and never bothered again until i bought a new PC. Ita ATi graphics and so i thought i would run through it just to see the graphics.
I've changed ISP, email account and cant remember details. guess what Steam wont let me install because the serial has already been registered. I can send the details out but theyre to my old email account and not the new one.
Contacted support but they wanted a photo of me and my DVD. That was done but still no reply.
Can i bypass steam. I feel cheated as the only way to play is to buy it a second time but this time download it.
Please help for i'm genuinely not a pirate.

This is why people who don't use steam on a regular basis should write their username and password down and stick it in thier game box.

2 options. Wait untill valve get back to you, or buy a second copy. I'm sorry thats not an answer you want to hear, but thats what it boils down to.

And can we not have the usual glut of people coming in to threads like these saying how steams a rip off and what not? Its old and its also not true if you don't forget your details.
