No lost coast arent an expansion pack, like Kouler said, however there is also coming an expansion pack called HL²: Aftermath, where you should be able to play Alyx, and I think they are shooting for sommer 2005 (wich in VALVe terms means somewhere between 2007 and 2010). Aftermath will NOT be free.
