Korea is like Japan-lite. They don't have quite as much crazy, but from time to time they do like to have crazy shit going on. That being said... English is pretty prominent over there for some reason. Probably just for Starcraft... or because it's so cool to speak it. Here's an example I've posted before:

The guy was speaking English because, in the drama, for some ****ed up reason, he preferred to speak in English, and that effectively portrays him into a goddamn snooty bastard type of guy.
