And your drivers are updated?
X2 > FX 57 D:
jk

Grab CPUz and see if anything is fishy.

What can I do?

That is really fishy...my friend has a X2 3800+ and a 7900 GT and he got over 4300...

make sure u dun have anything running in the background, like firewalls, antivirus...just have 3d mark 06 running only. and update ur drivers. make sure ur pc is on for 10 min so that it finishes loading necessary programs, then start the benchmark.

I got no firewalls (except router, but I don't see why it would be a problem) no anti virus, my drivers aren't all the way up to date because there was some issues with the newest but I have like 84.21 or somthing.

I would almost rather my shit didnt work at all, instead it seems to be working all half-assed comparied to its potential. it all real new stuff. I should be getting a better score than 3956 right??

I will just have to get professional help, for me and my computer.

You have nForce4 chipset, is your RAM 4 slots or 2 slots? nForce4 dislikes 4 slots running at DDR400. I have to have mine at DDR333. In fact, it was super unstable and I got low 3dMark scores because of it.

Even if it's two slots, decrease it to DDR333 and see what happens. Also, remove any OC'ing you mighta done.

it has 4 ram slots I have 2 sticks installed, each 1 gig. so what would you suggest? I have no OC'ing all stock.

If your rig performs to its capabilities, who cares about the 3DMark score?

css runs fine fortunatly. but like cod2, fear, Q4... alot of newer games get some drag on high settings. seems to me I shouldn't have problems.

ha, that 3dmark score is 3 times as high as the last one I took ;)

but of course, that was with a 1.6 ghz cpu, 768 mb ram and a geforce 4 ti4600

I got GeForce 7900GT and directx 9.0c. My CPU is 3.0GHz. And, relatively bad quality, 1G Ram. But my score is that low, I can't believe it!
What happened to my CPU?

mine:

Score: 3934
Date: 2006-01-23
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 2007 MHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT
445 MHz / 1071 MHz
OS: Microsoft Windows XP
Res: 1280x1024

3Dmark 2006 is the first of the series to incorporate the cpu score into the overall score, and it happens that the cpu tests are able to utilise both cores, so in practice, the X2 cpu's get double the score of a single core in the cpu tests and therefore a higher overall score than someone with the same graphics card, but a single core cpu.

I'd expect a 7900GT on a single core cpu to get around 4000-4200, as they are of similiar performance to the X1800XT in my machine, which overclocked yields between 4400-4500 on a single core cpu.

Heres my score. wtf....

this is with a 7800gtx, FX-57 proc., 2 gigs of ram

What image quality are you using in the driver settings ? Quality, performance ? etc..

I think you'll find most benchmarkers use the high performance settings in order to yield the highest result possible. So if you are running at high image quality settings then you may not be seeing the results you are expecting in comparison to others.

Fear and COD2 lags for me as well. They're just high graphical games.

Well, i'm assuming from that picture that you have a P4 cpu, which don't perform quite as well when it comes to games as athlon64's. in which case, i would say your score seems about right compared to many others i've seen, so no need to worry mate. It should handle whatever you throw at it just fine.

:)

Fear lags for most people xD

FPS drop for me too in some places, doesn't seem to be the best optimized game performance wise tbh.

The only way to get games running well at high settings/res is to buy the best components available 6-12 months after their release ;)
