2% Of African Americans living in the United states approve of the job he is doing as president. wow. pretty sad really.

also, his approval rating is 39% last month, lowest in his five years.

im not at all surprised. and frankly, i dont approve of the job he is doing either.

questions...comments...concerns?

link? Imo not surprised about the 2% african american satisfaction, but I'm fairly sure their dissatisfaction is pretty much unfounded. yeah i dont much approve either.

so, you, not being african american, can decide whether or not african americans have basis for dissaproval?

it was just on tim russert on NBC nightly news, ill link when i see it come up. for ****s sake you computer geeks need to learn that not everything can be hyperlinked for your conviniece. there are still other mediums (most are more legitimate) for information.

how do you know i'm not african american? their dissatisfaction is based on percieved racism through the media... nothing can be proven. somehow i doubt that ONLY black people can determine if bush is racist... if he was, i'd be able to be angry with him as well.

you'll link "when it comes up"? are you sure that 2% number isnt for just a single issue like katrina or something?

That can't possibley be true....

An even more interesting statistic is that only 0.7% of midgets approve of Bush.

Yeah that's a lot of BS.

Not that it matters, everyone on the ****ing planet has already heard the crying masses. No one even cares anymore, except for those who think it's an "interesting" or better yet "relevant" topic to discuss with your teachers after class is released and you've got 5 minutes to spend away from the rest of the "inferior" class mates, because you, being the teacher's pet, thinks they give ten cents worth of shits about it, or anyone else for that matter.

Here's a link to the article:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9672058/

I hope it keeps dropping. That way, everyone who voted for that prick can feel like a complete dolt. But, you wanted him because the other guy was "Unfit for Command!!!" Still feeling secure in your decision?

When are you republicans going to stop accusing everyone of lying; not everyone on this earth is as low as you. The poll he is talking about is the NBC poll found here:

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/9672058/

In addition to this poll only 28% of americans think this country is headed in the right direction, only 29% think his supreme court nominee is qualified, and 48% as opposed to 39% want a democratic controlled congress wiith only 13 months left before elections.

Edit: I see satch beat me to the link.

WTF are you smoking?

just to be racist - why should white people care about what black people think?

just had to represent the other side of the spectrum, i don;t honestly think like that, but i know some who do

If you don't think like that, you know the reasoning that negates the statement above. So there's no need to post

I hope that 2% rating isn't strongly related to Kanye West's comments. If so many people are swayed by his ridiculous and inappropriate outburst, than I'm disappointed by that.

Don't get me wrong. I am a liberal and I'm enjoying this approval drop, but I am extremely skeptical of any bullsh*t spewed by anyone famous or rich enough to elbow their way in front of a camera to say something political.

It really doesn´t, matter, if the Us had elections in two months, Bush would still win. It´s not about who does the best job, it´s about who has the best campaign.

Kanye had nothing to do with it, he simply represents what most blacks in this country thought when the hurricane struck.

generalizations and flame baiting ftw!

Do you have actual evidence of that?

Yeah, african american approval level dipping to a low never seen before. Read the original post.

I meant before Kanye spoke out. There was plenty of news coverage allowing people to think for themselves before Kanye was on TV.

I don't think you think very highly of black people if you think they are that swayed by what a rapper says. The point is Bush messed up big by not giving NO, a mostly black city, the attention it needed and the republican party will pay for it.

To clarify and extend on my previous remarks, I don't think highly of any person, group or not, who buys in to remarks made by anyone willing to abuse their position of having a fan base or a national audience for political commentary. I'm not singling out black people, all groups, liberal or conservative are guilty of this. As far as who IS qualified to make remarks that people should listen to, I would say no one is. People need to make up their own minds and I hope the people in this demographic have made up their own minds too.

EDIT: And you didn't answer my question about evidence. I'm not suggesting there isn't any, but I caught the scent of red herring.

Idiots like you are unbelievable <chuckles> You don't care about anything of substance, all you care about is people feeling like idiots. Can't you just let people accept the fact that they made a mistake in who they voted for, without assigning all the blame of a president's wrongdoing to them as individuals?

No... because you're an idiot.

This one is going in to my sig.

So this is what politics threads are like. I'm going to have to go back to staying away from these...

He was just giving you additional information that can also be found in the link, you are the one getting so hostile here. The link was provided to back up the 2% figure, got it? Okay.

Im sorry it doesn't directly state it, I didn't realize that as I just saw the news like kmack did, BUT if you watch the video in the link you can see for yourself.

i cant watch said video because im using os x and safari. somehow i think that something as impressive as a 2% approval rating among 20% of the country would be bigger news than not even deserving a mention in that article. until it is, its a mistake on his part.

You make it sound like they knew the future. Besides, I wouldn't be saying something so stupid when for all you know the other guy could have been even worse.

Always decide on how "good" your past decisions were based on the knowledge you had then, not now. Believe me, you will save yourself a world of trouble.

Yeah, you're right. Damn, you know me better than I do!!!! That's all I care about. Making people feel like idiots! /sarcasm

In this particular case, people who voted for this Administration should be shamed in front of their peers. Shame is always a good punishment.

At this point, no, I can't accept that these people made this kind of mistake. The information was always available and they turned a blind eye to it. It's not like this is all new stuff. I can assign some of the blame to individuals because THEY VOTED FOR HIM!!!! Without their votes, he would be relatively useless. I will not forgive them until they actually speak out together in a unified manner against the failures of this Administration.

But, I'm the idiot because I want people to learn from their mistakes? This country needs some tough love right now.

I'd have more respect for those that just admitted that they were wrong rather than pretending that everything's just peachy.

You didn't have to have much insight to see what the future held. It was obvious back then and it's showing it's ugly head now.

Well, those that voted against Kerry just knew that he'd be a screw-up, right? Perhaps they never entertained the thought that he might be slightly better. Kerry could have been worse, but, it wasn't likely. Hell, Kerry wouldn't have to even break a sweat to better Bush's presidency.

Please, back then the evidance was out there that Bush was totally incompetent to be president. I posted about this on this board on a daily basis; fact after fact after fact. The economy was turning to shit, spending was out of control, Iraq was a mess, Bush's campaign was lying on a regular basis, the white house was already involved in a treason scandal, Bush lost all 3 debates, Bush would not talk to the media during and before the campaign to anwser why he made the decisions he made. I posted all about all of these things; and there are people on in this post that have the nerve to say "oh, we didn't know it would turn out this bad". Everyone with half a brain cell left knew all this, why some people in this post didn't is unimaginable.

I'm not going to speculate on what black people think, or on behalf of my own race (white), but I can speak for myself. I hate bush, a lot. This administration is a disaster. The president constistantly (imo) makes poor desicions. I know people who have said that the president's approval rating is so low because of unfortunate events happening around him. However, numerous other presidents have experienced horrible events in their terms. Roosavelt was able to get the masses behind him against our eastern agressors and keep them there. Ever since the fall of Bagdad, when people were just expecting to hear news that we found bunkers chalk full oF WMDs, but never did, it seems there has been a slow but steady lack of faith in this administration. The president just doesnt have the ability to unite this country (imo). He did well right after 9/11, most people would say (where's Osama?). If that is true, it seems this president is a 'one-hit-wonder'. He should step down while he still has some dignity and fade into obscurity along with Hanson and Marcy's Playground, in my opinion.

Threads like these are so... frustrating. You have all the sheltered nerds in a safe, consquence free environment where you can just claim to understand the world. gHost, YES, you DO have to be black to know if Bush is racist against BLACK people. YOU DO. You have to live the life of a Black person in a Bush run America to understand the nature of the biases in his system. It honestly makes me sick to hear you people just patently DISMISS the views of an entire race of people. You think that Black people's dissatisfaction with Bush is unfounded? So what? They just aren't intelligent enough to figure out what's going on? This information that you seem to be so privy to, this entire race of millions of people in incapable of comprehending. Now, I know you're not saying EVERY black person, but to even imply that MOST black people don't possess the cognitive abilities and access to information that rivals your enclosed nerdish ass, I find that to be an assinine statement of the highest order.

This is basically what you are saying gHost.

"I interpret the information, and I'm pretty sure that I'm better at interpretting this stuff than black people are. We've both seen the same set of information, but I see things the way they really are, and black people don't"

Do you see how patentely insane and juvenille that is?

Do yourselves a favor White people, Enjoy the priveledge that society affords you, be grateful for it, and use that benefit to its fullest extent. However, don't assume just because you run the entire society, that you somehow now have any kind of insight into anything OTHER than white society. You don't understand black people, at all. Everything you understand about black people is through the horribly tinted lens of white dominant perspective. Until you've greeted the day with black skin, keep your meaningless, ignorant opinions to yourself.

Oh god, please get off your moral highground.

Analognovelist, you are highly conceited, and racist I might add.

However, don't assume just because you run the entire society, that you somehow now have any kind of insight into anything OTHER than white society.
I fail to see what race has to do with anything in that quote

Oh, and you're a hypocrite too.
