Wow that EXACT thing happened when I played versus once. AND it was Zoey who got pulled through, I posted about it a couple weeks back. Maybe this is the game?

I've totally done that once as a smoker. Which would be awesome and very telling of my leet skillz, except I try to do that EVERY time I'm a smoker at that part in the game and I've only nailed it like that once.

It's just good planning, like that bit in No Mercy 1 where the survivors jump down the hole - if any survivors lag behind, pounce or smoker 'em. They can't get back to nail ya.

Or on Blood Harvest, before you jump down into the cornfield. No matter how many times I tell people as both the survivors and infected how vitally important it is to either a) get over the edge ASAP as a human and b) to watch closely for the slow players as infected, no one ever takes notice at how easy it is to get people at those spots.

I've only been able to nail someone right there once, other times if I pounce/smoker them, they are too close to the edge, so the guys running up ahead just turn and shoot me off.

You can still shoot the infected thru the floor, but if they are already incapped it's over for that survivor.
