D2D fooked up the 'pre order Mafia 2, get Mafia 1' deal it seems. :)

EDIT: SO i requested the password to my email... So does this mean I'll be able to download whatever games this guy bought?

I think I'm sure the email probably carried over from the older websites. D2D has been around for more than 5 years, maybe you've forgetten.
 
yeah my email was also in use. I just used my old password and it logged in.
Downloading now. What's the DRM like? Is there any?
 
When I click "Continue Checkout" on the payment options plan page, it just loads that page again.

It uses the user database from IGN and some other sites from their network iirc.

Everyone seems to get stuck at 'continue checkout'.

No doubt, you're right. I see it's got my old house address on record. I don't remember this.

Looks like I never downloaded anything. There goes my dreams of acquiring someone else's account with tons of free games.

I'm downloading it. This is the fastest download speed I've ever achieved. Did not think it was possible on my line.

What's Comrade? Do I need to install this to play? Or is there some kind of D2D client to install?
 
Mine worked, I just remembered I had Pirates! on there that I'm downloading now!
 
Checkout button just refreshes the page. Nothing I can do about it...
 
Try internet explorer then? That's what it suggested, and to disable pop-up blockers and shit.

I used the latest Firefox. I didn't have to disable anything. (except NoScript, obviously)
 
my Nostalgia googlies aren't that thick.
The game is still a good game but also very clunky.

Like others mentioned before, it could be from your IGN accounts, which include everything from Fileplanet to Gamespy and a ton of others. It confused the hell out of me, because I now have two accounts with them with two different email addresses (one gmail, one hotmail) and only one of them has my actual purchases from D2D on it.
 
Its on steam too.

I dont know weather to get this on 360 or PC. I'm always worried these days that any PC version of a game is a shitty port and is going to run like crap.
 
Runs perfect on my computer in 1080p all settings on high with an old video card. Good control configurations, including mouse sensitivity. It sees my 360 pad, but I haven't tried that.
 
Oh I mean mafia 2. I'm sure mafia 1 is fine as I played it on pc when it first came out.

I'm not sure if its better to get mafia 2 on pc or 360 as pc may be some naff port.

Is it made by the same people? Because it seemed well done; like I said, no problems and total control customization. I would always get the PC. It's always going to be better. Also, consoles are crap and I don't have one.

I don't remember where in the US you live but still it seems that this would be painfully early, considering you made the post at 11am my (GMT+1) time.
