Another school project.

Looking good so far. What's going to be in the background?

If the magazine was about unfinished drawings, it would be perfect!

(bad joke)

Great so far! I like your shading.

What version of M16 will that rifle be? The shading at the "pipe" covering the barrel ( can't remember the right term ) makes it look kinda weird ( to my knowledge it should be round ) but I'm not sure if you are going to make it look realistic, so it's not so bad.

The picture looks cool so far.

you should have fully sketched out your drawing before painting it ...you would have caught the small deformed hand and could have corrected it before adding colour. The shoulders look very odd, the gun is oversized and doesnt quite look right next to the body

nice shading and texturing btw

Finish the sketch first. If the sketch isn't perfect, no amount of rendering is going to make it right, no matter whether it's you or Rembrandt behind the paintbrush.

Values are all wrong, can't see any hint of depth going on here. Proportion and shape problems. Where's the light coming from? Use sharper more defined brushes and simplify the brushwork.
Shadows aren't consistent enough.

The sketch of the figure in the background has awful proportions.

I like it so far. Would like to see the finished pic.

Liez. Flemish Primitives could make this work out and sell it as a masterpiece 150 years later :p

All the rest Harij says is true, though. Although I would tell it in a less direct way :p

The face looks wayyyy too young. Not just small, but young. That kid looks 15.

Everything else well done though.

That's supposed to be you? :| I don't think a 15 year old can handle a gun like that... Too much recoil to fire with any hope of hitting your target :p

Why are you smoking?

haha, nah. Its a school project where i must put my head in another person's body.

LOL! Are you serious? Well, it would have been helpful if you had mentioned that earlier!

Looks good. You have some proportion and shape issues. For example, the AR15 looks like it was just stuck on the soldier's arm and not placed in it. Particularly near the end of the rifle, towards the stock it looks like the rifle just ends out of nowhere. Before you had the barcode over it, the proportions on the soldier's torso were wrong. Now it looks alright. The area under his armpit is basically blank white space, it looks odd.

Still, its a good looking sketch but just needs some work.

that's more than a bit naive
Well, unless you are Short Recoil.

I'm just speaking from a video I saw and my common sense. That's a big gun, and a kid that young may not have enough strength to keep the gun firing accurately in full automatic.

what age do you think the youngest vietnamese soldiers were
besides the armalite is an assault rifle like the ak 47 the latter especially being the weapon of choice of child soldiers across the globe
