Magicka for $3.49!

Hah... this game is just something else. I played though it with my friend. It's kind of overwhelming trying to actually DO the right spells at the right time... kind of like how you'd be doing certain moves in a fighter... but the thing is it's often more hilarious if you mess it up and blow yourself, your ally, or everything around to up. And trust me it will happen. Seems like even the most well intentioned spells are just a misguided aim or keypress away from destroying everything.

Yeah pretty much. Just played the demo and your trying to remember every type of element to create this spell, all while trying to kill a bunch of enemies. I don't like it but it's a steal for that price if you like it.

Seems they ran out of keys. You can purchase it, but you wont get your key until a few days later.

It's alright. I played part way through with a friend and was enjoying myself until he learned a spell that killed me roughly 80% of the time and refused to stop using it. So, that was pretty much that. :)

I will say it was Thunderbolt... right?

Lost in the mists of time, I actually wrote a review of Magicka for the site. I liked it in a roundabout way... shame I wrote a sentence about the 'parody' that now looks like I lifted it from this week's Zero Punctuation.

Nah, I got him with that one more often than vice versa.

It was the one where a wave of fire of something rippled across the screen. Nearly impossible to avoid if you were in it's path and did some pretty massive damage. I tried casting fire shield on myself whenever I could, but it was a pain to keep up, and it's always hard to see the shield graphics in amongst all the carnage to see if you still have it on or not.

I picked this up when it came out and I still find myself playing it from time to time. I haven't checked out any of the DLC yet but I probably will soon. It's incredibly fun and often hilarious. Anyone who hasn't bought it should do so.
