Had the field behind my house catch fire, no one knows yet how it happened. Came close to catching some real tall grass on fire that leads right to my house but the firemen got that grass all wet before the fire reached it. I live right next to an airport, like, i could throw a rock and hit the planes if i so felt. I guess I could start filming the planes taking off and landing if I so wished....

anyway yeah...semi-exciting.

i am sorry huntingwithbears, it was me. Great Chief.

Freaky stuff. You should dig one of those trenches around the perimeter to make sure the whole field doesn't get claimed, in case this happens again.

the fields behind our house almost burned a long time ago. my friends set the fire on accident and it happened really quick. about an acre burned and the next summer tons of new trees were there all ready growing

My apartment burned down last year, on the 5th of July. Sucked.

This sounds so weird.

That's cool (the trees, not the fire). Some seeds are "activated" by fire.

And from the second video, the black dot seems to be exactly where the sun is supposed to be. So maybe it's just a camera thing? (I don't know anything about cameras so I have no idea if this explanation is feasible or not).

Anyways, good to hear your house didn't burn down. I'm kinda fascinated that you live next to a giant field, although the first thing I associate with fields is chiggers. Ugh.

this is my fields today, in red is where the fire occurred and you can tell what are the older trees and what are the newer ones

You guys live in such remote locations. I've never had fields behind house I live in. A yard, yes, fields, no.

ever place is remote for a short time. theres actually about 4 new houses in this area where i live. also the surrounding forests are all filled with little communities of houses now.

Yep. The fire would have to burn through fields of homes and families before it got to my house.

Vegeta I look forward to the day your post is positive and/or supportive...unless that's just your personality in which case, continue on. lol

Eh? I wasn't being negative. I was kind of creeped out is all.
