If you make me a moderator, I will systematically destroy all Halo vs. Half-Life 2 threads. Any mention of the two games as a comparison in a single sentence will result in an instant perma-ban. In addition, I will use my haxx0r skillz to figure out where the poster lives and beat him over the head will several varieties of blunt objects.

I wouldn't really call it a joke, it's more like blowing off stress. And I don't really want to be a moderator. Think of it as a public service announcement with a twist.

meh, about a month after both games are released these stupid "vs" threads will be for the most part a thing of the past.

Have patience you should.
 
I believe it's the same rules as with Hetairia, if you ask us, you won't get us.

Besides, why would you want to moderate here? There are already enough of moderators, get a nice writing or coding position instead, there are alot of sites looking for writers right now..
However, if you are that desperate to be a moderator at a gaming related site, send me a PM. ;)
 
Seriously, I want to be a moderator here. I'd do almost anything to become one.

It is really an art writing sarcasm on the internet. I have NO aspirations to be a mod whatsoever! (Despite my amazing grammar :E) In fact, the last thing I would want to take up my time is moderating this god-forsaken forum! :LOL:

I havn't had any experience but I suspect this is how it goes:

Being a moderator = easy
Being a good moderator = damn difficult

If you want to be a good moderator then its basically more of a job that than a fun thing to do like regular posting.

Make me a moderator. There, glad I said it. Now no one will ever ask me (if there was a reason to). I have moderated on other boards before, and with just several thousand members its a pain in the ass keeping people in line, I can't imagine one of this size. Kudos to the mods here who keep everything organized and crap free.

Isn't threads like this considered spam?
 
haha i've made the asking mistake like 5 times :D /me waits five years for them to forget and let me moderate MUAHAHAHHAHAHA or for me to forget and ask again :( :( :(

It's called backtracking, cause he really wanted to be a mod, now realises he wont, so thinks if he acts like he doesn't want to be, we'll ask him.

Well we can certainly see the need for Australian moderators. You guys fill that gap between US and UK mods, usually during the graveyard shift when most of the crap happens.

Actually I've got my list of people who should be mods.. You'd be surprised, most of them are people I've never got on with on here.


But thats all I'm sayin :p

I remember when I became one, came online one morning to find Rec had taken me on lol. Then a few months later Munro PM'd me and asked if I wanted to be a supermod.. all that power of bannage, how could a guy resist ;) lol
 
Well as much as it would be cool to be a mod. I would like to say "please make me a mod" so you dont choose me, not that you would but hah I can imagine it now
/me deletes all threads, bans all and spams the forum :p
 
I asked to be a moderator last May, before the site opened up. I believe I was the first member to get 100 posts, which is sad, then all went downhill from there. It was fun while it lasted, I just come around and look for interesting things, or stuff I can help out with.
 
This thread is funnny, all the people that secretly want to be a mod are going on about how they don't want to be a mod.
 
I think I will like it to be a mod but too do my job well I will have too put a lot of time in it, so I haven't time to play games anymore, and I already haven't much time because of school. BTW English isn't my native language so it takes relatively long to type a post and and even then it's not free of grammatical mistakes.
