I heard it was made entirely of plastic. But its supposed to spit bb's out like a bb hose.
 
I'm just getting into airsoft, it's pretty awesome, going to my first event in a couple weeks. I'm getting either an TM AK 47 or an TM MP5 PDW. You can take the orange stripe off with rubbing alcohol.
 
doesnt matter to me anyway, i live in the uk :p [ that means the gun stays as it is. no orange strips or trademark removals]

You gotta ask yourself what your gonna be doin before you get a gun. If your gonna be doin Close quarters combat then get a SMG. If your gonna be fighting from afar use a rifle. Get a small size rifle and you can do both (M4, Sig Commando, G36)
 
i think you can play it at paintball "courses". i think ive seen it before. that is a badass gun though i would get them if i hate the money
 
@Snowball I have been doing a lot of research into Airsoft skirmishes in my area.. it seems theres a thriving community right under my nose, yesterday I went out to about 5 gunstores and none of them carried Airsoft so Im going to order offline (that seems to be the way to do it regardless)

Im wondering though, I want to start on Gas Blow Back pistols.
have you got any suggestions for specific models which offer good value for money as well as reliability and a cool blow back?

I plan to start gearing up and attending my local skirmishes and scenarios (seems theres one being held as early as the 22 of february.)

I talked with about four of my friends too and we are all starting on the gas blow back pistols.
if you could make any recommendations (with links preferably) I would be most appreciative.

I can pretty much guarantee anything by Western Arms will be quality. KSC/KWA is a respectable company, which most of their guns are high quality. Tokyo Marui makes moderate Gas guns. If you really wanna find anything go here: http://www.airsoftretreat.com/forums/search.asp?FORUM_ID=19
Make sure to search under gasdiscussion. Just think of a gun you would like, type it in, and see what everyoen had to say about it.

I really just recomend you get a nice size pistol with good economy, reliablility, and the ability to use green gas.
 
Reason I want to post some magazine scans, is that they're from an article where they set up a real life (and really crappy, in a funny way) doom-type thing in an old abandoned warehouse... and one of the pellet guns they rented is the COOLEST airgun I've ever seen...

this just got released, it looks great but I havent seen it around nor have I seen a review for it.

Im hoping to go up to San Jose in the next couple weeks and visit Airsoft Extreme ( http://www.airsoftextreme.com/ ) to see what kinda stuff they carry... although I hear you pay through the nose there. (I guess you would pay somewhat the same amount after all the shipping and handling though) only thing that really bugs me about buying from Airsoft Extreme, is the fact they dont have TRADES.

(in other words their guns are stripped of trademarks) and I would prefer to get mine somewhere like Cobra Airsoft ( http://www.cobraairsoft.com/default.php?cPath=57 ) that just paint the tip of the gun, and tape over the trademarks.

or hell I might just go ahead and grab an Mp5 (not mp5k) but there are so many out there its hard to determine which are decent.
