So I've been looking at getting some Valve merchandise from the Valve Store, recently. Unfortunately there's a $27 international shipping fee. I'm wondering if anyone around the Manchester area fancied getting some Valve Merc and fancies 'teaming up' to reduce the shipping cost.

I'm not too sure as to how it'd be arranged yet, but it'd most likely involve one person purchasing everyone's items, being paid back and then distributing them somehow.

That's assuming anyone else is interested. I'd hate to pay $27 for $10 worth of stuff.

I would but I'm pretty much skint at the moment (well I'm not but I'm saving all my money for presents for family and friends, but none of it will be VALVe stuff. When I've bought everything then i'll be skint!).
 
Surely people in Manchester will just steal everything?

I'd be up for this, however it depends on how long it takes for the orders to arrive. I'll be leaving the country on the 26th for a very long time.

It wouldn't be how long it would take to arrive, it's attempting to arrange it so that it all works fine and dandy which is the issue. Being "in Manchester" isn't quite enough. I'd need some actual interest in Valve Merc at the same time.
 
I've decided that I'm definitely up for this. I want mugs. And probably a lot of other things.

As I said in another thread, you and I can co-ordinate at the German market(or really anywhere) over drinks, if you'd like?

I was shocked recently to find how many game series have a line of action figures (Call of Duty FFS). I'm not huge into them or anything, but those Combine Soldiers are so damned cool!

Can't help you with this one though Druckles, I'm in the other gay capital anyway. Personally, I'm waiting for a round of Episode Three signed lithographs anyway.

Though I did initially read the title as "Mancunian value Merc for Christmas", leading me to believe that one of our members had fallen on hard times and was offering his services as a cut price mercenary in the Manchester area. Though I can't imagine there would be much demand for a mercenary in Manchester

I had problems with that service charge last year when buying some Merc. Its pretty damn expensive.
 
I deemed these products kinda sad until I saw the Black Mesa and Aperture Science coffee mugs. Want. So badly. (Not at those prices though) .
 
A PM has gone out to all members interested. At this rate I think the P&P is looking at about $5 each, which is much more reasonable.
