Manipulator: Multiple roles?

Who would want the manipulator to have more roles then antigravity? I think it should feature more stuff like push and pull, which would also have an effect on heavier stuff, kinda like the JK force powers.

Anyone has more ideas how someone could misuse gravity? Maybe creating mini blackholes?
 
lol as u saw in the video pulling and pushing is no misuse of it..but what i could imagine to throw things around edges if there are powerfull enemys...
 
May be he could use it to lift him self up or "long jump" :D
 
I'm wondering how it'll work... Pick it up with MB1, release to fire? What if you just wanna drop it, and not launch it?
 
I think MB1=pick up, another MB1 will fire, en MB2 will drop
 
Maybe press and hold MB1 to pick up, release to fire. That would be more like you're holding something, but I'd prefer a MB1 = pick up, again to fire system.
 
Yeah that would OWN! and then you snap in back at thier skull and W00T! omg im gonna have good dreams tonight lmao!
 
Well, I was more thinking of Insta-Push(tm) instead of picking up and THEN pushing away. For instance when there's a crate right in my line of sight, I could push it away ASAP and hit some dude behind it. Picking it up first just eats my time, especially in multiplayer.
 
you could pick up shards of glass from broken windows and hurl them at enemys
 
I want to be able to be able to point it at the ground, flip the reverse switch and have it levitate Grodon for up to 20 feet into the air like David Blaine.

Hmmm... how could you create a mini blackhole???


As it is - a blackhole's event horizon is infinitessimaly small and yet is infinitessimaly large at the same instant in time.


It would pretty much fú*k up the galaxy if you created a "mini" blackhole :cool: :cool: :cool:

Probably MB1 to pick up and "special fire" to shoot it away.
And i want rocket jump features in it! :)
 
Can ya do a little force grip action by lifting up an enemy while he is alive and throw him against a wall or off a ledge??

It's the singularity at the centre of a black hole that is infinitessimaly small, but there's no necessity for that singularity to contain a huge amount of mass, so you could have a mini black-hole gun that fires say 10kg of mass at people. Of course such a thing is impossible in real life, there's no way to hold onto a black hole to fire it, and a black hole that size would have such a puny gravitational field that it really wouldn't do much damage at all.
 
I try not to think about that damn gun too much.. its like the ultimate puzzle creation/solver machine :D

To push a car (if you cant pick it)...grab a big metal dishwasher and throw it at the car, it puhes the car....

omg lol. endless possibilities. To pick up a Combine Soldier by his dick, and swing him around everywhere!
 
ol yeah create a field around you that stops bullets dead, and to look at the amazement of the combine pillocks
 
This is not Star Wars, we can't use "The Force" to stop bullets, the Manipulator can't create some sort of energy field, just lifts things up. I'm sorry if I shot down your dreams of making a shield.

yes, your right, the bullets in HL2 travel instantly. But you could stop a barrel that a zombie kicks at you and such
 
matrix style bulets can be done easily. hell, they even managed it with the halflife 1 engine. -www.specialistsmod.net (my favourite mod currently :D)
