This comes under mapping and help wanted, but more so help wanted.

The mod Half-Life Death (New website being built/old one can be found in Voice Artist thread) has been coming along nicley as of late. I post this becuase I've lost several of my maps due to a hard drive format (you allways forgot to back up something) and would like to ask anyone interested if they'd help me out of my prediciment.

I need some Ideas for the Intro map to my Mod Half-Life death. Now don't think becuase I'm working on the intro that we have no other maps done, we do I just lost all the ones I did. (If you want to work on 1-2 maps for Hl-Death PM me) Moving right along, I've attached two screenshots. Basicly this area is a parking garage where the player begins his journey from Janitor to Hero. I've got some basic things like that truck, the pipes, walkway etc. I've also attached the RMF if anyone would like to contribute something ie lights (also PM me) So does anyone have any Ideas to Brighten up this dull cube.

Oh and if you want to add something Read this. The area where the catwalk goes into the void and walls will have doors and a short section of corridor so don't edit anything there. Howether the section under the catwalk that also goes into the void will be the entrance to Black Mesa. If you could make a cool door sequence like the original HL with the huge cargo doors with the bar locks I'd really apreciate it. And some help on the two tunnels would be nice aswell (I was planning on merging the two into one and then blocking the player with a boom gate with a guard saying he's going the wrong way. One last thing feel free to re-texture with new textures just be sure to supply me with a .wad of those textures.

If your bored and want to help in anyway then pls do. I'm not a n00by at mapping, I just can't think of ideas.

If your feeling adventurous I'd like a mapper to create the next map that I lost. This is where a scientist confronts Gordon thinking he's one of the H.E.V. guys. The scientist will take Gordon to the lockers and tell him to step into the suit. The scientist will then tell the player how he can reach the elevator. This allows for more than one map because the scientist won't guide the player to the lift (a task too demeening for a scientist). There should be several areas like break rooms, computer rooms and even maybe a few personal offices/ bedrooms. The player will take the lift down, but suddenly a klaxon goes off and the lights blow up (the lift is fine similar to the blueshift sequence). All this will happen as the elevator continues downwards towards certain hell. A new map will load here done by the Maker of the Mod Tony Levi (frankly it's dull but I'm just a lowly co-leader/Director of human resources)

God damn thats alot of text if only words where counted instead of posts =p
 
Okay I've got my map problems sorted out so you can ignore all that crap in tha above post. If anyone has any talent they want to show off pls contact me; texturing, mapping, prefab mappers, sound.

These are part time positions with very little commitment required. Half-Life Death is a hl1 project that was started during an MSN chat with my friend Tony Levi. The main reason we made the mod was to show off our mapping/coding skills to the general public and get some notice before Half-Life 2 is released. We'd greatly appreciate any work that helps us release our mod faster.
 
Heh, I know I'm already doing voices for you, but I can do some small maps for you too if you want. I desperately need something to do and HL2 is at least a month away still.
