Mario + Sonic = Somebody Divided by Zero :O

Olympics? Boo!! Id like to see a Mario 64 like game featuring both these characters, one where they work together in their respective worlds......hell id just like another game as good as Mario 64 to be honest.

Looks/sounds/probably will end up being very lame.

Yeah Mario 64 is really one to beat, no game has really taken that formula and raised the bar, and Galaxy seems to be... well something totally different. I really did like some of the open-ended aspects of Sonic Adventure too - keeping in mind they are different sub-genres.

Mario is going to be pwned.

I mean a guy who can run faster then the speed of sound vs a plumber that gets fat when he eats mushrooms?

You ever see a disgruntled plumber on shrooms?

Not a pretty sight, man.

so we will see people dressed like mario and sonic in the olimpic games?

I think it's great news that the two characters are comming together. I reckon we'll see loads more games with the two characters now.

Here's to hoping Sonic will be in SSB! :D

SSB, SSB, is there nothing I CAN'T WAIT DAMNIT GIVE ME BRAWL!

I think i'm the only person on the planet that is more excited about the game itself than the fact that mario and sonic are together in a game. I know, i know the Olympics suck to watch and past Olympics games have been awful. This time it's being made by Sega with supervision by Nintendo.

The first game I immediately thought of was Track & Field for the NES. I think this could become a full fledged Wii Sports game with familiar characters. The thought of performing in track and field events, ping-pong, swimming and many other events seems like the perfect fit for the wiimote.

Also, Matt Cassamassina appears to have confirmed online support for this game when describing the game as "Wii Sports + Olympics + Mario + Sonic + online" http://blogs.ign.com/matt-ign

I used to play track and field style games onthe Dreamcast all the time with friends. Any game that involves mashing a button to run fast, and jumping, throwing stuff around is all good. I still hold the javelin record!

oh man track and field was like THE best game back when I was 6.

What they need to do is make sonic a playable character in Super Smash Bro Brawl. When this happens the world is over.

Mario and Sonic? That's like ... Sony and Microsoft ... together ...

... Ewwww

Sega and Nintendo both rawk though, so it's all good.
