Marvel Universe Online about to be cancelled

1up recently revealed that they had the inside scoop that a big game being published by Microsoft was about to be cancelled ..well it looks like it's most likely Marvel universe Online

Since we first broke that Microsoft, Marvel and Cryptic Studios' Marvel Universe Online was facing death, 1UP has received received a number of troubling game details that suggest why Marvel Universe Online has been, as one source put it, "in the shitter for a LOOOONG time." The folks at Next-Gen corroborated our original story this morning, citing an additional source relaying the MMO's demise should be announced within weeks, unless something "drastic" occurs between now and then.

..Marvel Universe Online had loads of potential that may now never be fulfilled. Multiple sources have come forward to 1UP to confirm the basic details our original report -- the game is half a step from complete cancellation

the game sounded like a trainwreck about to happen:

In City of Heroes, users were able to craft their favorite comic superheroes through the dynamic create-a-character system. Expectedly, our source tell us, you wouldn't have that option in Marvel Universe Online, and "there was bickering back and forth about how much the "real" Marvel heroes would play a part (you can't be Spider-Man, but you can be member #478 of his best friends club and follow him around all day), and scaling it for that many players at once was causing the Live team headaches."

what if where like the clones of something?
lets say a race of aliens captured the superheroes and keep them prisioned and in earth the goverment have been turning normal people into superheroes whit powers similiar to the familiar ones and you battle whit your bodies the horde of alien using your newly get superpowers?

I'm glad this game was canceled. With the attitude coming from Marvel about City of Heroes and the controversies they caused, I say good riddance. City of Heroes has it right... and we don't need another super Hero MMOG especially when they didn't seem to be attempting to do it well.

What are they going to work on now since they gave the CoX rights to NCSoft?
Cryptic did a great job on the CoX franchise,i hope that they continue to do so in the future.Hopefully they won't go bankrupt and close their doors.
