Mass Effect 2

I got a kick out of reading all of Shadow Broker's dossiers on the main characters.

Man, I just remembered that I have no save files left. I have to restart from Mass effect 1 if I want those choices in. I think that's pretty stupid. So, they expect me to have the same computer I do now for Mass effect 3? No reformating at all? Also, how the **** do I get the DLC back? I had some minor stuff before, like overlord and shit. But now, it makes me pay microsoft points to install it again. What's up with that?

I always save my saves from games that I've played through. At least the ones that have any meaning. I still have character saves from when me and my sister would play Diablo 2 together from many years ago.

Sucks if you can't have a way to get the DLC you paid for back though. I hope you can work that out somehow.

Just copy your my docs folder from computer to computer. That's all you need to do. There is also software available that will keep it synced to a flash drive.

I certainly think that all DLC should aspire to be what 'Broker' was.

Almost want to check it out now after reading a few reviews, might do it in the future, could someone on here give me an estimate of just how long the DLC is?

Always http://www.masseffectsaves.com/ . Though as you're mentioning 'Microsoft Points', are you playing it on 360, or just forgetting that the PC DLC came via Bioware?

And yeah, who doesn't backup their documents folder when the reformat?

Personally, I'm waiting for some kind of DLC bundle. I want Kasumi / Overlord / Leer of the Shadow Broker (ohoho), but I can get full games for that price.

It crashed and I had no way of getting them back. Endless loop of windows starting up. And yeah, sorry, I meant BioWare points. I find the whole thing stupid. Just say what it costs in money instead. But I guess you get discounts the more points you buy.

Get a new drive, plug the old one in as secondary and pull the files off. And you've also learned the value of a backup drive now. There are cheap effective solutions that should render data loss practically impossible outside of a major catastrophe. Paying a small fee for remote backups will render "outside of a major catastrophe" into "outside of the Armageddon itself".
