Once you have your key you need still need to register for an account on the warnerbros site which requires a credit, or debit(my switch/maestro worked) just to verify you. It also provides a direct link to the client download, instead of waiting in lines at fileplanet for non subscribers.

So many porn sites use credit card info for "verification" which is bull. There's plenty of ways to verify someone or something that work perfectly well for other companies. Only reason someone needs CC info is to take money from it.

Yep, and even if they are genuine and don't use them. It's still just another place your details are being stored, another chance of them being stolen, who's to say they can be trusted, who's to say this might be the one time a mistake happens and a 15 year old scriptkiddie from Norway gets hold of them all and goes on a spending spree.

So far I've done well to avoid ever getting a credit card, but I gotta say its getting harder to avoid, seems like everything these days needs a credit card to buy. What happened to the good old days of using cold hard cash. You knew what you had and you couldn't overspend and end up in debt.

Credit cards are just wastes of time and space, I dont know how anyone could be so stupid as to get one, it's just a waste of money. Get a debit card and only spend the money you actually have.

<ontopic> So yeah., woo0oo for matrix beta, i hope its good but I wont be participating or playing... i cant even afford WoW anymore. I overspent on my debit card and have about £10 to last me the rest of term. lol ! :O

Well... I've got to 19% on the download, but it's lucky I saw this thread. I haven't trusted those brothers ever scince reloaded, and Enter the matrix made me laugh. I very much doubt they have actually (payed someone to ) develop an MMO in such a short time that is worth any money- and i'm sure as hell not giving them my credid card details just so I can see how crap it is.

I have been skeptical of this one but I wanna check it out because I was a huge fan of The Matrix.

As far as the credit card goes...whoopie...they can take all they want. I get the money back anyways. I saw a charge of $.25 and a refund of $.25 after I signed up for the beta. Meh

Ahh man, it doesn't work with win98. I guess I should upgrade to XP.... Damn its lack of DOS.
