Matrix: Path of Neo

Its pretty good. Much better and more fun than the last one.

Thank god for that, the last one was... ok, i guess. If its better than the last one i will get it.

O rly? Looks like I owe someone 5 rape dollars. :naughty:

I though the whole Matrix thingy ended with Revolution. It should have.

Heh, should've ended waaaay before Revolutions ;)

Yeah the Matrix should have started and ended with the first movie. Then I would still be able to think fondly of the whole franchise.

I actually didn't totally hate the first game, so I might pick this one up.

Reviews are averaging between 75 and 80%

Apparently the only big downsides are confusing cutscenes and occasional slowdown from the graphics.

I concur.

Though I still like the second two movies. They still were rather cyberpunk, at least as cyberpunk as one can get in popular culture.

The Wachowski's just messed up with the symbolism and philosophical messages. They were shoving it in your face instead of being subtle about it, like in the first Matrix.

There are a few games out there I want.

I don't get the chance to buy games all that often.

For some reason I bought this today... I guess I've just always wanted to play out the lobby scene ;)

Anyway, I'll let you know what it's like if I ever get it to install. It came up with a virus warning and now it won't go past the supposedly infected file. Apparently the patch fixes this... never had to install a patch BEFORE the game. Fantastic game testing guys :)

I think that people would enjoy The Matrix's sequels if they hadn't seen the first part. They are good movies but after the brilliant first part people demanded too much, had to high expectations.

GODDAMNIT

can't even install the thing. Disabled the virus checker (completely as shutting it down won't do it) and whenever it comes to the suss file it stalls and comes up with an access denied warning.

And people had problems with Steam?

I'm glad I kept the receipt.

Figured I'd edit rather than double post... anyway... got it to work at last. Got to say, initially impressed. Not by the graphics, of course, they suck so much ass it's not worth talking about. The graphics options seem limited though, as in no individual options, just a 1 through 10. 10 seems to suck. resolution and frame rate seem fine. At it's heart The Matrix was a film about being sucked into a great video game, and this does feel like you've been sucked into a gre.... um... into a video game. Going through the combat training I thought about the neat touches I'd point out to the person who asked about this game.

Then it crashed.

Well fighting in the caves was fun. Trying to work out the controls... not so fun. Being able to configure a gamepad would be a bonus(!)

Anyway, it's late and English is not my friend right now. If anyone's still interested, I'll post again about this curiosity, but currently all I can say is that if you loved the movie(s) and you love video games then this is a must... that is a must rent... on a console.

I think that the problem with the last 2 movies (Reloaded and Revolution) is that the producers got over their head, and it was almost all Cyberpunk.
I was hoping for cool hacking scenes, lobby scenes, escape scenes. Instead I got to see lotsa cyberpunk clubs... :( No fast action.
