This is the Off-Topic forum, ie. you can cover anything that's not related to Half-Life 2...

Actually, I'm tired of your insolence, spamming and flame. I've warned you, but you've taken no notice. Banned.

I would say that he probably does. And this is the Off-Topic Chat forum. The official description is "The place to discuss absolutely anything." So I recommend that you disengage the Auto-Flame and settle down. Some people like to talk about things other than Half-Life 2, which is why they come to this section of the forums. Please show some tolerance.

EDIT: Oops! While I was in the process or writing, you guys said it all. Sorry for that!

Wow! Two things that we agree on. I will be seeing the first showing possible. Wait a minute, somethings up...... ;)

I'm downloading the max payne ones, I think I'll wait for the matrix revolutions TV spots to be shown on TV ;).

That molotov cocktail in clip 3 was pretty outrageous. I was also impressed that they're finally using ragdoll physics correctly. Instead of just having the guy fall down dead immediately, you can shoot him repeatedly and your shots will keep effecting him on the way down. Reminds me of those old Soul Caliber games where you could keep the enemy in the air for 3-4 strikes after he was knocked out.

yeah........Ill be hididng in the corner.

lol.

I loved Matrix, hated Reloaded, and now I am all exited for Revolutions. I must fight with excitement, because I know it can be a let down. Ah goddamn, I will be there, Friday night.

Reloaded was released on a wednesday and me and buddy went to the 12 or 1 pm showing.. took the day off. There were about 4 people in the theater.

I think what happened was this: The bros. made a whole lot of money and got a whole lot of praise with #1, so with #2 & #3 they were allowed to be a lot more self-indulgent. They took there metaphysical themes a step further and put them at the forefront of the plot. I loved it, but most people thought that it was "okay." If you're not into metaphysics then the plot probably just seemed all convoluted and esoteric, but I commend them for putting all of that into a film that they KNEW would be mainstream. I think that they are what Dr. Timothy Leary called Futants. If you know what a Futant is, then tell me if you agree or disagree, please.

I don't think Matrix Revolutions will be any good considering the last game.

Thats exactly what I thought Non.
I'm looking foward to Revolutions like I am HL2.

I just watched those Revolutions trailers...I'm speechless.
It looks absolutely astounding.

you know, Revolutions looks fantastic. I for one loved Reloaded, the architects scene with Neo was by far my favorite too. I can't wait to see what they do next. That "control" trailer was great, I just can't wait for this.

I wasn't all that big on the movie when i first saw it in theaters, but i've seen most of the fight scenes about 15-20 times since then and they just keep getting better.

Did you catch the few clips they show of the surface....but with the sky?
Theres is some cool stuff going on, and it really looks like the movie is going to seriously change how we think about the trilogy.

I certianly concour , I see no reason for people to hate Reloaded. Other than " I hate it because its popular to hate it" syndrome which alot of people have.

max payne 2 videos *drool*

thats looks freakin awsome *drools some more*

lol, i like the way that no-one on here understands The Matrix,
and how revolutions was just as good as the first one, wsas still the same,

its just cos it wasn't as action packed etc as the first one people don't like it...

pfft,

The last one will be amazing...

Reloaded didn't exactly have a complicated storyline... easy enough to follow if u'r used to that type of film...

But still, it wasn't a patch on the first. Fair enough first time around it was good... but the rewatch value of that film is shocking. I've seen it three times and the third time i was bored stiff. I can watch the original for the 20th time and find it SOOO much more enjoyable.

For me the first part of the movie was slow, after Zion though things were great. I've seen the movie 4 times. I love it. Most people seem to hate it because they couldn't understand the language the architect used. Most people can't understand proper English with big phrases like "systemic anomaly", and alot of people had no idea what "ergo" meant. They came for action but when they found a story they were turned off to the whole film.

I thought it was okay, some of the fighting scenes were much too long and boring and the plot was complicated at best.

So if you're saying that "no-one on here understands The Matrix", does that include you as well, or are you the only person here that is intelligent enough to understand it? And if so, could you please fill us in becaue I would LOVE to be graced with such wonderful knowledge, as I already consider The Matrix to be my second favorite movie of all time (my first love being 2001: A Space Odyssey).

They're still on for November I believe.

Rockstar Games and Remedy Entertainment today announced that the sequel to Max Payne, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, will be released October 15 in the U.S. for the PC. Retail stores now having pre-orders on the game.

?

hmmm the matrix ones are pretty cool, but show the same footage.

the max payne ones own, especially the first one (or maybe thats just cuz its the first one i saw)

the last clip tho i didnt like... the voice acting is subpar compared to max payne 1 and mp1's style.... iono clip5 lacks oomph

I thought the Max Payne 2 trailers were... Interesting.
The resolution didn't seem that great (of the game, not the trailer) or something was up with the texture filtering or AA or something. Seeing as it's a trailer I just found that a bit strange - does it signal ridiculously high specs?
Max can move too fast in bullet time, imho. And how blatantly was God-mode on? :naughty:
Plus I felt the ragdoll was a bit over-done. Same with Postal 2.

And his teeth... They weren't individually modelled or shaded. I was so unimpressed by that :)

I'll stop being so picky now.

But the Molotov was totally tits :E

I didn't like the Max payne 2 trailers, they were too short and too low rez and quite frankly a let down compared to some of the screenshots I'v seen.

One big clip from the game, like the stalker ones would have been better in my opinion.

Wow now Im even MORE excited about Revolutions. Im watching the theatrical trailer on whatisthematrix.com. It looks awsome , talking to the lead machine , cooperating. Cant wait. Id actually rather see this movie than HL2 right now , the delay has certainly put me off even further.
