YAY, got it yesterday finished it this morning before i went off to college, yay, short but good......

now i can mess around with all the characters....

hmm, where's that naked Mona model ;)

add -developerkeys -screenshot switches to the shortcut, then load a save game and hit page up it'll cycle through models and eventually come to two naked mona models. F3 allows you to move the camera around and stuff. F10 takes screenshot.

All I wanted to do is make a room with like 9 walls and made out of all mirrors... damnit.
 
The editor crashes before it even fully loads... wonderful... I've had SO many technical problems with this game...

thehunter1320, 2GB if you want to extract all the data from the game and be able to use, textures, meshes and so on. If you dont want it, just uncheck it and problem solved.
 
Someone make a tech map that takes advantges of the havok and ill install MP2 again ;)

ray_Man, if you are talking about a mod, yeah you need MP2 to use it. Its like Kung Fu mod for Max Payne 1, if you played it. It had new stuff, moves and things like that, but you needed MP1 to play it. Unless you are saying to make a totaly new game on an MP2 engine, then you wouldnt need to have MP2 to play it.
 
are there any short cuts you can add so that you can like pause it mid action and look around the room, not just like pause where it scrools around max, but look around and find a good angle and take a screenshot?

With those developer keys the buttons like this work:

Home - Speed up time

End - Slow time

you can go as far as stopped.
 
Sweet! I hope someody does do the Matrix Lobby scene. It would look awesome on the Max Payne 2 engine. :p

How in the hell do you move the camera around in MaxEd, and how do you compile a map so as to play it? I'm not having too much luck finding tutorials for MaxEd 2 (understandable), nor can I find any good ones for the original MaxEd.

You just KNOW someones going to skin an 'unshaved' mona model with the editor... :p
 
Ha, figured out how to move around in MaxEd2, in case anyone else here wants to know (it took me awhile to figure out) just press the space bar down and your free to move around.

i coulda told you that, then F# keys switch between other modes, same as with MaxEd for max payne 1 :)
 
yeah, I have the editor pretty much figured out now since I spent the whole day trying playing with it. I actually like it quite a bit now, it's not as bad as it looked at first, it's actually quite good. My only problem is getting my levels to load up in game. I have followed a few tutorials now but I have gotten nowhere with rasmaker2 and the like. I know what to do, but I just can't get it to work. Xtasy0, have you been able to get the levels you made to play?

i havent tried to load up my maps, i don't enjoy MaxEd, it's too clumsy feeling compared to hammer, and all the bullshit you need to go through to load a map is ridiculous.
 
woohoo, I just finnaly completed a small mod (in MP2 in order to get a level to run you have to compile it into a small mod) that tests out the physics engine. Pretty cool stuff I must say. A bit difficult to get working at first, but after the initial hurdles it becomes much more fun.
