Sony will hold its event on a sound stage in Sony Pictures' complex in Culver City, just outside Los Angeles, at 15.00 PST on Monday, May 16th, and is expected to show off the next-generation PlayStation for the first time at this event.

Three hours later at 18.00 PST, Microsoft will kick off its own event in downtown Los Angeles, where it is expected to finally take the wraps off the next-generation Xbox, currently known only by its development codename Xenon.

Just like always, they give Sony the first spot...first to release....everyone is holding down Microsoft! THE MAN IS KEEPING US XBOXERS DOWN!
 
My God I want to go to E3 this year! I might be able to go. If i do, I'll take tons of pics and video and post it here. ;)

noone is more of "the man" than Microsoft, becaus they have more lawyers than everyone else put together :D

No, 2005 will be year for us to drool over the awesomeness coming in 2006! :)

Unless you believe in these games meeting their release dates. But of all people, the good folks at HL2.net should realize this folly.
 
You forgot about launch titles for the XBox Xenon. Those will get released with the console, and I'm fairly sure that M$ won't fux0r up the release date for that, because they must impress everyone first and be the first console out the door, and have damn good games to keep everyone on the console so they don't have to spend another 500 bucks to get the PS3 and games for that.

End of 2005 and all of 2006 should be a blessing for gaming on consoles at least. We need better PC titles for 2005! Let's wait until next month for E3 :D
 
PGR3 should be a launch title for the Xbox360 / Xenon / whatever.

PGR3 = teh w1n.

lol, I can only imagine. Someone sues microsoft. Microsoft has about 50 lawyers on there side. The other company has like 1 or 2.

More minds to find any flaws, to think, to do anything that needs to be done.

Then again it might just be easier to buy out the judge..
 
Hopefully now we can get decent games, instead of these hamstrung-console-everyman games that have been boring us to death for the past two years.
 
Actually guys, Microsoft was sued recently but avoided a messy lawsuit by giving the company alot of cash, they were sued for the same reason that Sony recently was, they had "stolen" a companies vibration-in-gamepads tech.:)
 
Microsoft are unveiling the next Xbox on MTV on the 12th and 13th of May - so it will be M$ before Sony.

It'll probably have some yuppie as a host.
Therefore, I'll wait for the ACTUAL in-detail showing. :thumbs:

Hehe, the funny thing is ... we both know you'll be watching it... I know I will :D

They say it will be a prerecorded 30-min program with some interviews of the developers but mostly just showing off the box and the tricks it can do. You'd have to be seriously anti-MTV to not even watch this.

yeah consoles suck, i wont be getting one. but im interesting in what the thing can do...

Hmm, seems as May 16th is already on there, as are the other 364 days. My calendar teh win!
 
At least Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft are actually planning on releasing their systems around the same time in this generation of consoles... rather than giving Sony a head start of over a year, again. The market share Sony collected during that head start doomed the XBOX and GameCube to fighting over second place. There may actually be a fight for first this time around.
