Mcdonald's, what do they serve?

I don't get it, why does she have 4year old food with her?

But, wasn't she saying they were bad? (I wasn't really listening tbh)
But God how I love McDonalds :D

I don't get it

Think about it you dink.

Remember in 6th grade science class when the class decided to grow mold on white bread and on whole grain bread as an experiment? Remember the white bread got little to-no mold growing on it?

There's a reason for that.

as much as i hate mcdonalds, that **** doesn't know a ****...she's saying that mcdonalds food makes people fat because it doesn't breakdown.
food that doesn't break down/digested gets eventually expelled from the body.

There's a reason for that. Same thing here.

my ex studied food technology, and i remember that certain foods can be preserved really long due to some factors. i think some of them are: a too small quantity of water (pasta), too salty,... and that sort of stuff.

Definitely. My father does a bit of hunting, and water and salt play a huge factor in food preservation. It's how beef jerky is able to be preserved for so long, and it's how to prevent the meat from going bad while it is being dried out into beef jerky, takes a really long time, ( I believe the term is called "curing", I think)

Depending on what the food is made up of, or has on it, mold may simply not have the ability to survive on it. It's one of the reasons mold can hardly survive on white bread, because it has very little nutritional sustenance for the mold to cultivate on.

If you've seen Super Size me, you probably remember this. He says, "We're going to give you an idea, of how this food is breaking down in your body", which is partially true and has a point, but is largerly bullshit as well.
The way food breaks down in your body and the way food breaks down in an external environment exposed to air is very different.

ZT that video had the opposite effect on me. Mmmmm black mould burger!!

I'm not a fan of fast food but I love my local Mighty Taco place. its much better than Taco Bell crap and I usually get 2 large chicken fajitas, nachos and cheese, and empanyata (spelling)

salt oil combo must be protective of the fries. Or maybe there's more.

I didn't do anything like that, at all. And wtf is 6th grade?

When she said "when I was overweight", was there a little evil voice in your head that said ".. but you're still overweight?", hmm?

And yeah, while I'm sure McD's isn't the healthiest food, this video is a bit bullshit. It's like saying Eskimos don't eat "real food" because they preserve their meat for many months.

And we get fat because it stays in your body? The fuck?

BODIES DO NOT WORK THAT WAY.

BUT THEN-THEN-THEN HOW DOES IT LAST SO LONG?! AND EXPLAIN WHY I AM FAT THEN?!!

The whole burger not decaying as things should doesn't make me worried about regards to weight loss... it makes me worried as regards to what it might do to your body. It's not normal for things to not break down. They must make them out of petroleum.

No, just salty, dehydrated, the meat is probably mixed with dry breadcrumbs, or flour or something that doesn't decay much, etc. If you have a plain cookie and put it in a normal jar for years, I can guarantee you it won't have decayed. Same for stuff like pasta. OMG who will think of the children?!! BAN PASTA!!!

Whether it decays or not doesn't say much if anything about the healthiness of it. All it says is that burgers from McDonald's can't compare to fresh food, it's cheap for a reason.

That "bionic burger" video is bullshit. Yeah, I'm sure food from McDonald's is laced with DDT, because McDonald's doesn't have to pass health inspections and conform to laws, amirite? Everything contains those pesticides to some degree. Hell, everything you eat contains some amount of uranium. Do people honestly believe that burgers from McDonald's contain huge amount of toxins that kill bacteria and fungi and that's why it doesn't decay?

On a different note: the lack of Morbo videos on Youtube is truly disgusting.

Yeah but cookies and pasta especially are different things really. They typically have vastly reduced moisture levels especially a short period of time after baking.

A nice juicy burger on the other hand has a lot of moisture to it and well... really should be able to be attacked by microorganisms fairly quickly. Especially when it comes to something like a burger that has animal fats and proteins... which are highly conducive to spoilage.

It's just a vast difference when you compare a freshly made burger or freshly made fries, to something from a fast food joint. I think that supersize me video had an experiment along those lines.

The comparison of the two fries... the local joint french fries and the mcdonalds french fries are a good comparison. I mean they're both fried in fatty oils that will go rancid very quickly as oils will spoil fast because of the fats. Maybe not visibly, but they will go rancid. The difference in change between them in the supersize me video is drastic.

The bacteria need water as well as the oils though, and they're what provides the moistness.

Dear Gemma,

Different countries have different education systems. ZT is from 'America', and therefore is familiar with the 'American' educational system.

Glad we could help,
The world.

You're weren't supposed to tell her Sulk.

what a stupid video, and what kind of crazy bitch carries around a 4 year old cheeseburger to show off how gross it is?

honestly people like that woman make me rage because they're so ****ing preoccupied with stupid shit like whether or not mcdonalds food decomposes OMFG THINK OF THE CHILDREN while they drive their huge gas-guzzling SUV around and continue their environmentally destructive lifestyle which is going to be a lot ****ing worse for their kids than a $1 burger.

I wonder... if you took all the change leftover from mcdonalds 99 cent food items, or any other order that doesn't come up to an equal dollar amount, would that amount of money be able to feed the world?

I mean... they serve like what... 50 million people every day? That's only half a million dollars if every one of those people only bought one 99 cent or whatever it is food item... but still, that's a lot of money!

I haven't gone to McDonald's in 5 years because it sucks and tastes like garbage. You can always find another place nearby that sells better burgers than the fry pressed crap you get at Mcdonald's.

South St. Burger > McDonald's

I don't even remember the last time I've ever been to McDonalds. I've always hated it.

I get fat off other fast food joints.

Anyone notice the author of the diet books was a fat-ass?

Whatever, pour stomach acid on it, and it goes away.

I eat pretty much no vegetables, literally the only ones I eat are potatoes (French fries though), corn, broccoli. That's it. I eat nothing else but crap like McDonalds, Wendy's, Pizza, etc. Not only am I skinny, but I'm somewhat muscular (not trying to brag - I'm not THAT muscular, but then again I don't work out). Point is, some people are just fat, there's no way around it. If 20 different diets don't work, then just deal with the fact your fat. There are names like endomorphs and ectomorphs and exomorphs or soemthing like that.. Basically Skinny, Strong, Fat.

BTW - I didn't read any of this thread besides first post (which I watched)

I honestly think for atleast half my life I havent walked into a McDonalds, in any country. So like...11 years +

I rarely eat fast food anymore(maybe once every two weeks). I never drink sodas or any other sugary drinks or really much of any drink other than water... loads and loads of water. And despite all that I still have weight management issues.

Must be myself trying to fill my emotional void with food. Cheap... shitty wal-mart and other generic brand food.

<sniff>

have a light ectomorph (body type) does not exempt you from eating healthily. i could eat crap food all day long every day and not gain any weight, but i'd still be unhealthy as ****.

I never said McDonalds was healthy or unhealthy, I was talking about just fat people going on diets to lose weight. Kind of irrelevant to the topic, but the diet.com thing got me going.

Hey Dog, say hi to heart disease for us!

Agreed, eating nothing is better for you than eating McDonalds, even if your organs start wasting away. I'd rather take kidney failure on than McChickenshitNuggets.
