Can be acquired through Beamdog: http://www.beamdog.com/products/mdk2-hd (quite similar to GoG). Here's a little page about them: http://www.beamdog.com/about/us

Personally huge fan of the series and quite psyched. Such fantastic characters, environment and humor. Big nostalgia over here towards the entire series. I remember playing the original at my neighbor Sam's house when I was just a kid - and picking up the second on it's release date and beating it without putting the controller down once.

Only downside is no Steam availability, it's available as a digital download sold exclusively by Beamdog,

Beamdog is a development studio / game storefront created by former Bioware employees. It's actually not that bad, they regularly distribute / give away free games and support the open source and indie communities - not to mention sales are very frequent.

I only played the second but dam I rmenber it was awsome

will put it on my wish list of steam for when I have a chance to buy it

That's not the HD version, unfortunately - the remake is only available through Beamdog.

edit: sweet, just found out Urban Terror (for Q3 mod made free due to open source'ing of the engine), is downloadable through it for free.

Really enjoyed this back in the day, but I find replaying things for nostalgia never holds my attention any more. Still, pretty neat of them to do this, assuming the remake holds up. Anyone who misses those quirky Playstation-era action/adventure games should give this a look.

I dunno, the humor seems to be quite annoying, and it seems like the sort of game you could only enjoy if you grew up with it as a kid..
