Meathooks on ropes going crazy!

Hi there,

I have some meat-hooks (prop_phys_override with mass set to 100) hanging on ropes. The ropes themselves and the hooks work fine on map spawn, swinging slightly, but after a while the swinging gets more and more intense until the hooks are in a frenzy! I have no idea why they are doing this.

Any ideas!?
 
yes I'm using phys_pulleyconstraint. This is for HL2

Ok, I fixed the problem.

I created invisible physboxes over the meathooks and parented the hooks tothem and attached them to the ropes. To make them move as if being blown by wind, I assigned each of them a physexplosion of small magnitude which was set off at random intervals by a logic_timer.
 
why dont you try to lighten your meathook entities? maybe they are too heavy and just keep swinging faster


or im just a complete idiot and that will never work
