I realized that I'm still not master race. I am not a true PC gamer until I have a mechanical keyboard. Oh man.
So I'm thinking of buying one. I have no experience at all, I have no idea what I'm talking about right now. I've read some guides which explain the basics and various switches but I still feel like I'm very unsure about the whole thing. I'm mostly interested in a keyboard with either Cherry MX Black or Brown switches. I've read that Brown is mostly for typing, but some gamers prefer it to Black. The sound is a pretty big factor, I don't want a very loud keyboard. Brown and Black seem to be the most silent ones.
I'd appreciate any advice or comments about mechanical keyboards. The major problem is that I can't try one before buying because I have to buy it online. And as far as I know this is pretty bad since mechanical keyboards are all about the feel. There are no retailers that sell mechanical keyboards anywhere near where I live. Goddamn Finland. Of course I can send the keyboard back if I don't like it but meh. I'll get used to anything decent.
I'm currently thinking of Tesoro Durandal G1N. Backlit keys would be cool but every keyboard with them seems to be too expensive. I really don't want to cross the 100€ mark.
I also thought about Razer Blackwidow but for some reason biased to think Razer is shit. And I believe the switch is louder than in Durandal G1N.
