Medal Of Honor : Airborne Trailer

Ummm.... was any of that actually in-game or just CG... looks CG to me, or very pre-rendered with post-processing

Probably end up like all the other Medal Of Honour games...extremely linear and fighting Germans with transporter technology that enable them to beam in infront of you/behind you, etc.

Hated all of them, especially Pacific.

This game should be fun as long as they leave out the silenced pistols and stealth aspect and just leave it as a squad based shooter like Call of Duty

They have the whole interview which is really enlightening on Gametrailers.com (I watched it last night) and they said that it is coming out this year, but they haven't really gotten into taking advantage of either the 360's or the PS3's strengths yet, so whether or not any of this is actual in-game footage is up in the air I think.

Personally, I think some of it is in-game, especially if it is coming out this year--they surely have a bunch of assets and such to work with by this point. The interview also talks about them demoing a soldier getting shot to some audience and they actually has to tone it down because it was too powerful an image--and there wasn't a drop of blood shown! Crazy!

The interview also states that they are going to "blow us away" with this at E3 this year--I can't wait!

I'd agree with you...if it wasn't for the fact that apparently nobody's told you that Airborne will drop you in a huge, expansive, wide-open area and that you will operate of your own accord within said area.

Watch the interview here. Worth checking out.

I wouldn't really call that a trailer, more like a teaser because of the pathetic length, good stuff though.

Looks cool, liked the whole "skidding down the roof, taking some shingles with you" effect.

OMG !!!!!!!!

the graphix was ****ing incrideble
i hope the gameplay as good as the graphix

Looks good but I prefer CoD's gameplay over MoH.

Definately the coolest part. The thompson and the way it is held with a tiny little arm looks totally strange though. :S

I have gotten every MOH game to date (actually, I just borrowed the console versions). I dont see any reason to stop!

They need to make a game where the Germans win.

No, they need to make a game where the Mongolians win... I'd buy that game in a heartbeat

Yeah, the idea with this new medal of honour is that you have objectives to complete, and you've maybe been told that doing them in a certain order would make sense (e.g. take out the radio coms tower so they can't radio for backup while you attack their base or something)

However, overall it’s up to you to just complete the main objective. Supposedly while romeing about you might find secondary objectives - like rescue a mate from a tree that’s stuck, but that will only appear if you ever go near the guy stuck in the tree.

In PCGamer they described the landing area as a two pole circus tent - the plane flies between the two poles and you can jump out any time, you can also control your parachute a little. You get kicked out as you pass over the last possible jump position though.

The possible landing area might cover only the first section of the level so you have to work your way towards the enemy base, or it might actually cover the part of the enemy base - so you COULD risk landing right in it if you wanted, or you could scope it out from the air and land on the outskirts.

It all sounds like a good idea to me and it will be interesting to see how it plays.

EDIT :: I just realised that the possible landing area is CALLED a drop zone - please forgive my ignorance :)

Whoa! Is that image in-engine?! :p

I don't like the idea that you will be kicked out if you wait too long to jump--I thought the idea was to give you freedom of choice. It would make more sense that you just fail the mission because your plane can't just keep circling over your target forever waiting for you to decide when to jump! It will be very interesting to see how this one plays. If its as open-ended as they say it will be, then we are all in for a crazy time!

OMG another ww II shooter how damn exciting!

Oh wonderful, now all they need to do is release it on the PC and the world will be fine again.

Ok, but think about it - if there's like 20 guys behind you waiting to jump out.... they are going to shove your ass out the plane :)

Plus it keeps the whole dynamic going, how annoying would it be if you were just thinking to yourself "Oh... wait.... wait for it.... ok.... wait... just let me line up where i want to go....... wait.....MISSION FAILED"

I think that would be more annoying than, "FFS soldier! move your ass!....BOOT IN THE BACKSIDE!" :)

Oh and on Razor's point about the idea of a huge open area being the thoughts of fools - just look at Far Cry, or whats happening with the new Ghost Recon. Far cry has acheived a pretty open huge area of operations - ok it loads between levels as enemys are transported in, but on the whole the level is pretty presistant. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter or whatever its called is also claiming to have huge levels with no loading, only a helichopter flight between areas.
