There is a lot of new info about this game from E3, including videos, previews, and the official site being launched.

Some of you probably already know this game's features inlcude Havok Physics, Semi-simulated liquid effects (like ripples), a new engine to compete with HL2's graphics, and real-time lighting and shadowing.
It also has many ways to accomplish your objectives, making it a lot less linear. You play in battles such as Tarawa without having to load individual sections of the battle like Allied assualt. The entire battle is played without loading screens. Cool huh?
The thompson SMG sounds really bad ass in those videos and the iron sights are shown on two guns (thompson and M1 carbine) The M1 carbine also sounds great. The particle effects are super-cool and all the sounds a wonderful. It is supposed to be released on September 1st, 2004.
EDIT: Oh, and the health system is gone. You can no longer pick up glowing boxes of health. You have to wait for a medic now who will care for you. If you don't get healed fast enough, you rish being bayonetted by a japanese soldier, or dieing of blood loss.
