Your avatar proves that!

Dont get me wrong, I think soap and that is good. But look, if youve smoked your whole life or lived in a smog ridden city, You don't deserve medicine. You live quick, you die quick.

If only it was... you would already be dead by now and no have posted this...
*sigh*

pain and death is natural. people should learn to deal with it.
And if you're born with a disease that requires you to take certain medicines to be able to live?

Absolutely not. This primitive form of natural selection may be valid for other species, but not us.

Guarantee we would be set back several centuries technologically if we don't use medicine. Medicine keeps us comfortable and removes several worries from our brain that keep us from being productive. If we died early and were always worried about our health to such an extreme extent then no one would be able to do any proper research or development.

We need medicine for more than just extending human life. Besides, a longer life = more experience and more learned which means more productive research, better ideas, and a generally more productive society.

Oh god...

Dude, you go way too far in your utalitarian and "hardass" philosophical thinking.

Just... don't ever think about it again.

Stupid thread. :/

I vote we take away ^^FrEzNo^^'s medication and replace it with an 'I <3 Typhoid' tshirt.

Sure why not? I don't plan on living forever anyways.

What kind of stupid thread is this?

to quote mr. P;

Dude, you go way too far in your utalitarian and "hardass" philosophical thinking.

To properly fight against something you have to know all about it. You have to know what it is. If you want to properly fight a philisophy then you are going to have to really look hard at it and see what its advantages are or would be.

Refusing to look into it on principal will only weaken your own belief.

Just a friendly tip I always try to follow. :)

In all seriousness, I would rather die than have to take about 20 different pills everyday for the rest of my life. I've seen people who have to do it to live, and I just couldn't do it.

Yeah, sipping a glass of water for 30 seconds isn't worth my life.

you definetly don't need medicin to live a healthy life, in fact, the medicins are what cause you to become sick.

And what has productive research and better ideas got us? Nukes, Drugs and rock'n'roll.

I've been down that road many times in thinking, trust me, if you go far enough you'll realize the futility. Even if you find a tiny peice of truth, the cost and effort required to put into far outweighs the willpower of humanity.

I prefer to find truth in more practical, arguable portions of society and try to teach a few of the ways I think. At least, then, maybe there's a chance they will continue that argument.

I once was in the mood of "there is no generosity in humanity, no true compassion or good feelings, only personal gain and affect". I still believe a lot of those things, but I understand that it really doesn't matter, trying to prove that point is redundant and worthless.

Anyway, medicine, in all its wonderfulness, helps further propogate the species into a new age of life and thinking, therefore advancing our chances of survival against nature and external forces.

So, you got what you wanted. Stuff that kills people so they don't live as long.

people should die without the stuff humans make or take.

edit: btw, I really liked that previous post persmerga. I see your point.

i prefer my own type of natural selection... it involves myself, several large caliber weapons, lots of ammo, and a big truck

what about teh hot chicks

I don't see any reason at all to ban medicine other than sadism.

If you don't like it, don't use it. It's not up to you to decide if people should be able to better their standards of living or not.

Where is the option "Yes, but only for everyone not going by the name '>>FrEnZy<<' on halflife2.net... because he doesn't like technology"?

Did you just agree or disagree with me?

I can't tell. It just looks like you repeated the same thing as what I said.
