I don't suppose anyone has the old Memman.exe for EMS and high memory and all that crap?

Trying to play some old dos games and having some problems.

Tried googleing but nothing is really helping.

I'm waiting till DosBox comes in version 1.0 variety. I've had problems with the software. Despite trying to get the best speeds out of the game, things go wrong.

So far, the best speeds are equivalent to a 386, slightly slower than 60Htz

DEATH eVADER, when you run DosBOX, do you get the latest compile off the FORUMS that usually fixes and adds a ton of stuff?
Heck just by contacting the guys who makes the 'compiles' and telling'em about an issue that meant I couldn't run an ol' DOS game, they fixed it a week later in an 'update'.

Just running the plaine basic DosBOX isn't exactly great that's for sure.

Anybody know if theres anything like this but for windows 95, got some old games that just wont work with xp.

I've got DFend. What I'm after is an annual benchmark.

A benchmark as in doing some research into the top-of-the-range computers of that year, and automatically use those settings for your games.

These games usually come with a copyright year, so finding out what games to match with what settings shouldn't be that hard.

Anyway, I don't see the problem with DosBOX, I've been running all my DOS games in it for since I first got the intarnets(About 3 years ago), sure some have required me to tweak the the config a bit, like Elder Scrolls Daggerfall, X-Com Apocalypse(iirc) and SEAL Team(Best ****ing tactical shooter ever), but at the end of the day, they all work perfectly.:p

But yeah, a annual benchmark like you're talking about would be great..
Also, what settings with what settings is even easier considering there is a ton of game manual sites out there that lists the requirements for the game etc and supported hardware and such.:)
