Well, the September 11th attacks were on a totally different scale than any of the previous acts of terror.

Mabe it was on a bigger scale but youve only had one of them, the rest of the world has had alot more. The world had alot of sympathy for you in Afganistan but you squanderd that but starting a war that no one else could see was in anyway related to sept 11, most people just thought Bush was trying to take advantage of the attack to push the Project for the New American Century.

September 11th was more than just around 3,000 people dying. People from all over the world was killed in this attack, and it affected more than just America. About Israel getting bombed every few days, when was the last time a Terrorist attack killed over 3,000 people in a single day? I can't remember any...

Crabcakes, I really hope you're right that Americans are starting to realise your govt.'s a genuine fallasy. Maybe then Bush'll get impeached or at the very least, not voted in for a second term. But I seriously doubt either of those.
On a side-note, something that annoyed me was the TWO MINUTE silence for the Sept. 11th victims. It was a sad event, sure - but no war memorial gets that. Holocaust victims don't get that... That was totally overblown.

Dtsy(?) - I don't think that, just because they disagree with America, the people on these forums wish death and destruction upon them - that's over the top with-or-against-us mentality.
