So I was wondering if you guys could think of any good bands that are like...Metalcore. But, they don't have shitty screaming singers.

For example.

Confinded by As I Lay Dying.

Great musicianship and the lead vocals that arent screaming are pretty good too.

Any suggestions?

I hate screaming but i love intense musicianship.

Power or progressive metal usually have very intense musicianship with little to no screaming. But I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for...

Try Sybreed. I posted the same thing in the epic thread, their new album is on the scene online and I think it's the best album I've heard all year. www.myspace.com/sybreed

No screaming at all? Or can you tolerate it a bit? If it's the latter, try out the arc/tan/gent album by british band earthtone9. It's not quite metalcore, but if what you really want is clean sung vocals over shitty generic gothenberg-ripoff riffs then you may as well listen to power metal as someone said.

Or maybe Spiral Architect would be good for you *shrug*

Yeah, because obviously that's all power metal is.

Yeah, I know, but I did say 'may as well'... I know there's more to it, I just don't care... Plus it'll be easier to find power metal than the specifics he's looking for.

Honestly, for the most part, it is. The awful-to-good ratio of power metal bands is absolutely atrocious.

You could say that for any genre of music you dislike.

Metalcore itself has some screams, but its not like screamo crap like Underoath, or Number 12 Looks Like You.

Here are some bands I recommend

August Burns Red

All That Remains (Awesome band, i just pre-ordered the dvd last week)

Demon Hunter

Killswitch Engage

Unearth

i liked linkinpark if you would consider it to be metalcore..(don't reply to this post if you have nothing better to say)

or KORN would be good..

Awesome, Like I said, I like intense "musicianship". Not power metal.

Lol, I enjoy listening to Jack Johnson and sitting on a beach.

But, for some reason im really into what i described before. Ive just never researched into it.

I will literally listen to EVERYTHING. Except for like 99-101% of country music.

just listen to All That Remains. you would be amazed.

Tracks to listen

We Stand
Become the Catalyst
The Air I Breathe
Not Alone
Six (this is on guitar hero 2 also)
Whispers (I Hear You)

It is a shame that most people nowadays have no idea about what metal-core really is. Bands like Breakdown, Leeway, Cro-Mags, Killing Time, Agnostic Front, etc were the real metal-core--the crossover between hardcore and metal that happened in the late 80s and nearly ruined the scene (in NYC at least) due to the intense violence that erupted at most Sunday Hardcore Matinees at CBGBs. An awesome time of growth but a painful one as well. Try looking into some of these bands if you want to learn what real metal-core is.

I don't want "real" metalcore. Thats not what i'm intersted in at all. lol.
