Michael Moore on CNN

Yeah, he kind of did. Preemptive attack: Agreeing when truthers fire rhetoric at you insinuates that you believe it yourself. That you made a movie about 9/11 being a conspiracy doesn't tip the odds in your favor.

you sir are a dipshit.

Why do you comment on stuff you haven't watched? Why do you refuse to accept the truth? F911 didn't have a damn thing to do with conspiracy theories, yet how many times have you repeated this shit now?

I find that many americans stupidly criticise Moore without knowing a single thing about him ..it's almost always "just because"

People don't like him because he is a pompous, arrogant, and patronizing blob who twists and manipulates the truth in order to serve his own ends.

prove it or shut up

prove: "he is a pompous"

why would anyone care?

prove: "he is arrogant"

why would anyone care? what does that have to do with what he's saying?

prove: "he is a patronizing blob"

oh so now you're calling him fat, real original

prove: "he manipulates the truth"

now we're getting somewhere ..prove beyond a shadow he consistently manipulates the truth, with sources as I will check them

methinks you'll end up saying "just because"

and again, where were you to criticise the invasion of iraq? why didnt your politicians, your leaders, your celebrities, your people of worth say ANYTHING to criticise the decision to bumfck Iraq repeatedly? why was it pretty much MM who was the only dissenting voice in a sea of 300,000,000 americans? it still surprises me that to this day idiotic people slam the ONLY person in america at the time who seemed to give a shit that you were illegally and immoreally steamrolling over an entire nation and committing a horredous crime ..WHY THE ****ING SILENCE?

There were a couple politicians, celebrities, and people that were agains this invasion. And they were totally castrated by the media for it. Look at what happened to the Dixie Chicks.

Moore was one of the few people with the balls to say anything, and they tried to destroy him for it like they destroyed all the others. Now these dumb****s continue to use the same talking points from that time to "criticise" him now not understanding what the **** they are talking about. Their best is "he's fat", "hes obnoxious" because they really can't come up with anything to disprove what he is saying. I don't think they will ever stop drinking their koolaide, afterall, if you tell a lie long enough it becomes true.

they were sent death threats for something they didnt even say in america ..they still havent recovered. The Dixie chicks are villified pretty much over night yet it took years for anyone to criticise bush ..and even then it's mostly for the economy or some other insignificant issue ..it's almost as if 300,000,000 americans forgot/ignored he lied to them ..yet most americans can recount in vivid detail about Clinton's lies ...it obvious sex is more important than starting false wars

What happened to the Dixie Chicks?

The Dixie Chicks have said they fear for their lives following the backlash against singer Natalie Maines' comments about US President George Bush.

The band say they have received death threats after Maines told a London audience she was ashamed that Mr Bush came from her home state, Texas.

no seriously

I wouldn't say 300 million americans, there are some that stopped drinking the kool aide a long time ago. But that number is still dangerously high, way more than half. And it doesnt excuse the fact people weren't paying attention back then, and yes, I was one of those people.

it doesnt matter if they stop drinking the koolaid if they remain silent ...man the democrats are almost as culpable as the republicans ...I mean they didnt do shit to counter the war effort..at the very least there were 2 years of near silence

:upstare: oh ffs Nemesis please for the love of god watch F9/11 point out exactly where Moore says anything about it being staged ..he barely even mentions the attacks besides as background information, it's almost all foreign policy

You really are stupid. I will post it once a-****ing gain. It's not in the movie. It's here: http://www.reason.com/blog/show/120903.html
When I see him agreeing with truthers, I speculate a little about why he made that little loony toon of his.

you sir are a dipshit.

Uh-huh, and your mother's pussy has teeth. See, aren't we having fun?

Becuase they are spineless.

'People elected the republicans, if we act like the republicans, people will vote us'

reading comprehension ftl ..I specifically replied to this idiotic statement you made:

Nemesis said:
That you made a movie about 9/11 being a conspiracy doesn't tip the odds in your favor.

are you denying you wrote that statement? wtf else could it mean? you clearly say that his movie was about 9/11 being a conspiracy ..well it's clearly not ... proving once again that you're a mental midget

it doesnt matter if they stop drinking the koolaid if they remain silent ...man the democrats are almost as culpable as the republicans ...I mean they didnt do shit to counter the war effort..at the very least there were 2 years of near silence

Absolutely. So what do you do? You have to in the end support the lesser of 2 evils. Democrats like Kucinich have absolutely no chance of winning the primaries so we still end up with a ****tard for president no matter what party they come from. Clinton wasn't as bad on foreign policy as Bush (I dont think anyone could be this bad) but he was by no means a saint. In the end they are both responsible for what is happening today.

He never actually said it was an inside job though. I read that article and it just quotes him saying that there is alot we dont know

He never actually said it was an inside job though. I read that article and it just quotes him saying that there is alot we dont know

Yeah, but I think he went a little too far there.

Sure, there is a lot we don't know and he is absolutely correct that the investigations that congress did didn't tell us half the truth. But that's not because of 9/11 being an inside job, its because they want to hide the fact that the people running this country were totally retarted (maybe that statement is too harsh on retarted people).

On a side note I refuse to believe anything posted on a conspiracy web site like that, there could have been editing going on and other bullshit. Moore has never in public and probably in private suggested 9/11 was an inside job. Watch that video with a grain of salt. You can clearly see Moore was ignoring the guy beforehand, then the video cut out and suddenly Moore is really excited about talking to the guy.

are you denying you wrote that statement? wtf else could it mean? you clearly say that his movie was about 9/11 being a conspiracy ..well it's clearly not ... proving once again that you're a mental midget

Yeah, I'm a racist, too. Heh...

That's your argument? That he doesn't actually say that 9/11 is a conspiracy? I'd say that the video reveals his opinion about 9/11 quite a bit:

REPORTER: ... we now are in possession of all other kinds of facts and evidence.

MOORE: Right.

REPORTER: And we know that 9/11 was an inside job.

MOORE: Right.

Yes. He doesn't outright say it in the film, but he says it there. He sure insinuates that he agrees with the pathetic bullshit of the reporter.

Yeah, I'm a racist, too. Heh...
More classy nemesis, I love it.
That's your argument? That he doesn't actually say that he believes the shit he pulls out? I'll make it easy for you:
No, you mental midget. His argument is that you said Moore, in his F911 film said 911 was a conspiracy. This not only proves you are an idiot, it also proves you didn't watch the movie before commenting on it. It's also amusing that you contradiceted yourself shortly later.
You really are stupid. I will post it once a-****ing gain. It's not in the movie. It's here:
If its not in the movie why did you say it was in the movie a few posts before that?
Yes. He doesn't outright say it in the film, but he says it there. He sure insinuates that he agrees with the pathetic bullshit of the reporter.

That proves you didn't actualy watch what you yourself posted. Let me guess, you also don't know what the definition of context is, do you? Look it up. When he is saying "Right, right, right, right..." he isn't saying he is agreeing, he is saying "hey, buddy, I hear what you are saying". But thats a little too complex for you to understand.

Yes. I assume it's conspiracy crap from what I've heard of it. And what I've heard and seen from it, it's bullshit.

I don't know where I hinted that Michael Moore actually said it was a conspiracy in the movie, but if you understood it that way, I'll rephrase: I have no doubt that Michael Moore didn't actually say that in the movie.

When he is saying "Right, right, right, right..." he isn't saying he is agreeing, he is saying "hey, buddy, I hear what you are saying". But thats a little too complex for you to understand.

That's how I understand him. If he can speak his mind in his movies, he should be able to say no in real life. I interpret his reluctance to elaborate as recognition of what the truther said. That makes sense considering he made Fahrenheit 9/11 which is, in essence, much of the same as Loose Change; Digging in government archives for irrelevant press releases. I assume that's what Michael Moore does, too. That's what Dylan Avery did, anyway. Maybe Moore didn't believe the shit he published and was just an asshole back then, but now I believe that he's actually started buying this crap.

Seriously, I really just don't take anything Moore says serious. "There is no terrorist threat." Those are his own words. He is clearly a deranged idiot.

I gotta say I have a lot more respect for Moore after watching this.
At least he isn't afraid of his own opinions or the opinions of others like so many people.

Yep. He doesn't back down at all, unlike a lot of people.

Seriously Nemesis, do yourself a favor and watch farenheit 9/11. Knowing what you are talking about is much better then making yourself look like an idiot.

Whats the worst thing that can happen? You change your opinion, and you certainly have no problem spending time on these forums so you should find time to watch the movie, even if not all at once.

That makes sense considering he made Fahrenheit 9/11 which is, in essence, much of the same as Loose Change; Digging in government archives for irrelevant press releases.

heh that's like saying "well I havent seen star wars but there is no doubt it deals with celebrities duking it out in a boxing ring" ...I once said that there are times when I really dont need to do anything to defeat your arguments because you do it so well yourself without my help ..this is one of those times

I assume that's what Michael Moore does, too.

in the immortal words of Benny Hill:

"Never assume boy! - When you assume! You make an ASS out of U and ME!"

although it's much less me

it's clear who the real idiot is ...

Well at least I'm not a democrat or a liberal. At least I don't think I am... :|

Sorry, I really can't bring myself to take anything serious from a man who just flat out states "there is no terrorist threat." But I think I'll watch Celcius 41.11 maybe.

YES! HUNT DOWN THE TRAITOR TO OUR GLORIOUS NATION!

Sounds awfully familiar don't you think gentlemen? D:

and not being a democrat apparently ..hey i'm exactly like you ...I'm not a democrat either ..probably because I'm not american

we're like long lost twins separated at birth ..I'm not a democrat, you're not a democrat ...I'm not an american, and you're not ..well I dont know what you are ...republican wanna-be?

Hi guys:

So anyway I work at an HMO/PPO (student clerk, nothing major), and our company's got this huge PR bullcrap as to how "according to a NY Times/USA Today survey, 87% are satisfied with their care". The piece also goes on to say how "97 cents per dollar earned goes to health care and administrative costs", all written by Karen Ignagni, who I can only find that she is a Washington lobbyist and President of AHIP. Naturally they call "Sicko" a pack full of lies.

If anyone can help me find some dirt on her and get the source of those numbers, I'm gonna post them on my last day of work at the end of this month.

Michael Moore is biased, opinionated and stubborn...in short, my hero.

So nemesis, not gonna post your IP, are you? If you are worried about security the first 3 sections will do, IE: 192.168.1.x

Javert, it would be helpful if you posted what she actually said word for word.

as much as I applaud your actions, dont burn bridges ..you never know if you might need them as a reference etc

Oh yes I agree, I'm not going to flame or anything. But it was rather pompous of them when the CEO released his first ever employee blog, and when two associates (including a co-worker) asked about it, the webmaster only referred to the two links talking about how flawed the movie was. They asked what the leaders thought of the movie, they give them two recycled links.

I am also thinking of just telling one of my co-workers directly, and my supervisors agreed with the movie. I've already received references from them, and I'm going to a new job this fall.

I'll copy the texts when I get to back.

Just point out that the fact people are satisfied with their healthcare does not mean that their healthcare is any good. People can be stupid. For example, one poll in 2000 by the All-Russia Center for the Study of Public Opinion showed that 26% of Russians thought that Stalin was the greatest Russian leader of the 20th century.

Ah, and also point out that both CNN and Moore agree that healthcare in America is bad. They both agree that America pays $6000-$7000 per person every year for healthcare, and Cuba pays $229-$260. The lower value is the one for CNN, and the higher one for Moore. They both agree also that America is placed 37th in the world for quality of healthcare, and that Cuba is 39th. The difference is caused by the fact that both groups used different sources for their data. The differnce is somewhere around 10%, I was never very good at math.

Finally, for an indepth explanation of why Cuba has health care about as good as that in America despite paying more than 25 times less, I suggest the documentary "?SALUD!". I learned that Cuba is famous for its vaccines, most of which are kept from American patients because of the embargo.

In addition that 87% figure only obviously applies to people that have healthcare when there are so many that don't. And when you are paying that much money for your health insurance the number should be much higher than 13%. Sure, I was satisfied with my insurance when I had it too. But nothing serious happened to me, unlike those unfortunate people that you see in the film.
