Hello everyone,
currently, I am at the point in the game called "We dont go to Ravenholm..."..Specifically..I come around a corner to find a Man on a balcony with a shotgun. he shoots a couple aliens, say something and goes back inside... from there I proceed to put out a gas fire and go inside. Up stairs I go. I get into a small room at the top of the stairs and the game freezes. Sound continues but in a constant repeat. I cannot move. No errors display. It just hangs.
Up until this point, the game play has been amazingly smooth.
If I am able to Ctrl+alt+del my way out, I see that hl2.exe is running at 99% CPU load.
I have tweaked my system to the hilt following the tweak guides. My system has never run better. I am running a P4 2.8, ATI Radeon 8500 with current catalyst. 512 ram and all that jazz. Well above the minium system requrements.
Can someone give me a direction to go in?..I am at my witts end here.
