MIDI USB Keyboard

I'd say yes. What software do you plan on using with it though?

The oxy 8 is a good starter. I believe Qonfused has the 49 key version? Can't recall.

I think that's a terribly high price for that keyboard though. Why are you using ebay? Go on like musiciansfriend.com or something. If you want to spend that much, get the Emu Xboard 25. I've got the 49 key and it's great. 16 knobs, pitch/mod wheels in the proper standard position, and lots of features.

I was actually hoping you'd appear here, vag. (You a keyboard nerd)

But idk what you mean by software? It has some software to DL for it I think from the manufacturers site. As for recording/editing, I use Gold Wave (I actually think you told me to get it a long while back)

EDIT: It's actually the first one I saw on eBay, I didn't do research on it, because I don't know what I'm looking for.

Why not get an oxygen 49. It's only $20 more.

Also dog you do realise this thing makes no sound on its own?

You need software to control with your midi keyboard. It is not a synthesizer or digital piano that can make sound. It transmits MIDI data through usb to your PC to control music software. Like Fruity Loops, or Reason.

Oh then good I got Fruity Loops Studio 8. (I said I know nothing of these things)

Also I can't find a site that ships them to Canada besides Axemusic.com but they suck ass, the site is a ****ing mess and they don't give prices, you have to call them..

So I'm going to have to eBay it.

Musician's Friend ships to Canada. That's why I said it.

Do they? When did they start (I haven't checked the site in like a year or 2)

I found the 49 key for only like $30 more I may as well get that, maybe I can train myself on the piano a bit to play it properly.

Plus free shipping **** yea.

Nice. I have an M-Audio Keyrig 49, it's served me well the past few months. USB keyboards are great.

Yeah, I've got the Oxygen 49. I got it two years ago for $100 used.

Are there any significant differences between the Oxygen and the Keyrig?

If I had googled "oxygen 49" could have discovered that it's also made by M-audio and does indeed have lots of buttons. I really shouldn't assume things on the Internet, things like "oxygen is clearly a different brand than m-audio".
