Midnight Launch?

Will I be able to play HL2 at 12am on Nov 16th since I've purchased thru Steam? If so, I need to take the 16th off from work. :cheers:

It depends where you live.

It's released at 3:00 AM EST, 2:00 CST, 12:00 PST, 10:00 AM GMT (I think).

yup it depends on where u live it will realease at the same time everywhere at midnight at GMT time mines -6GMT 2am

But yeah, it'll be 3 AM EST for HL2 to be playable.

Yup. That's for me as well. I'm hoping I can talk my mom into letting me stay home that day, because if I don't, I get home about 2:30, play for two hours, homework, basketball practice, come home, shower, finish any leftover homework, HL2 until 11:00.

The Midnight release time seems to refer back to

which only speculates on the midnight release on the situation of a local gamestore.

Has there been an official release from either Valve or Vivendi on this, even if it is just a Valve member saying that it would be so in a thread somewhere?
