Hahaha! This man is officially the craziest figure in boxing--maybe in any sport!

At a news conference at an Italian restaurant, Tyson said he would likely go just four rounds and that future stops on the tour might include bouts with women, possibly professional boxer Ann Wolfe.

Wolfe, from Waco, Texas, is 21-1 with 15 knockouts.

"She's such a prominent, dominant woman in the boxing field," Tyson said.

When asked if he was joking about fighting women, Tyson said, "I'm very serious."

Heh, Tyson is so past it he's completely washed up now - anyone he fights will be beat him. Usually i wouldn't support such a fight, but i reckon that lady would be much fitter than him. Tyson is a well known woman-beater anyway, he just wants an excuse without a certain prison sentence.
 
All he is doing is wanting to bring women into the fold and prove that women have what it takes to fight in the ring alongside their male counterparts, he's proving that if the best woman can't go toe to toe with someone like him, then they don't deserve to come close to the sort of advertising revenues, fight pay and commercial appeal that male boxers do.

Women want to be treated equal as men, but people scoff at the thought of a woman going up against Tyson.

Can't have it both ways, people. Either you admit that competition between two boxers of opposite sexes is entirely legitimate and fair or keep your woman in the kitchen.

Women are capable of kicking a guy's ass, contrary to popular belief. And there's more to boxing than the sheer force behind the glove.

And it's also a good thing that we're not talking about averages and instead a relatively small group of people that train themselves to enter a ring and knock somebody out. Besides, Tyson ain't what he used to be. Any skilled female boxer could take him out.

ADDED: Tyson said that it's possible future bouts will include women. This does not translate into "I JUST WANNA BEATS ON DEM WOMEN".

Put him in a ring with one of the UFC fighters, see how he gets on there. Them people are animals and you wouldnt get me in the ring with those. Im just getting back into my boxing training as I have been really tied up for the past 2 years and when im fully up again I would have a go at "Iron Mike". Wouldnt get far but I would. There is no way you could get me in a cage though. No chance whatsoever!!!! Animals!

Actually there was talk a few months or so ago that he was planning on fighting in Pride.

I'm not sure what you mean here. If you posted the pictures to say that muscle doesn't mean victory, then I'd kind of agree with that. I also agree with your statement about there being more to boxing than power, but only to a limited degree. Take for example... say, bruce lee. He's every nerd's wet dream because he's tiny, but could kick a lot of ass. However, if you put Bruce Lee in his prime against Tyson in his prime, Tyson would come out on top in a heartbeat.

Sure, Bruce Lee would hit him a lot, but Tyson is crazy and covered in bio-armor, thus he would probably not feel much pain from it. That, on top of the fact, that for a workout, Tyson would do elliptical uppercuts with 130 lb. barbells in his hands. He was FAST too, he could crush Bruce Lee's skull with one hit. Tiger claw lotus strikes don't do shit against a big black pissed off tower of beef jerky.

What am I getting at on this tangent? Any female boxer would get her ass handed to her on a silver platter if pit against Tyson. Not to say they aren't awesome fighters, and could beat any of our asses... but come on... a woman??? Please. Tyson may not be that much of a threat to the big time male boxers anymore, but women are a whoooole other story.

Actually, again, I'm gonna have to say that I think Tyson would wreck a lot of those guys. Why? Now he can use his legs, his elbows, anything he wants. It's not like he'd be confined to the rules of boxing. Plus he's way dumber and crazier that them.

The pictures were to illustrate a fact contrary to what he was implying: physically unequal footing. While that's true on a natural, average level. It is something that can be overcome, as demonstrated by the photo of Ms. Butchface I have supplied.

That sentiment is either extremely ignorant or factually observant.

If Tyson is knocking out female boxers (people who took up a profession guaranteeing beatdowns, so boohoo), it means he's better. That's how competitive sports are and always should be. You're all getting stuck on the prospect of his opponent having ovaries, when I really don't see why you should care.

Even though he may be crazier, you have to use your head in this sport (in more than one way) as unusual as that may sound. Then again, he was a boxer and being an amateur boxer, its the same sort of thing. But these guys are pure animals, and even though Tyson is in his own class an animal it would be interesting to see if he could go head to head with these guys. Boxing is so much different than UFC same as Karate is different from Ju-Jitsu. Different forms but so very alike.
 
Mike Tyson would have dominated UFC in his prime. The man literally was a wrecking ball.

While he is a good athlete, years of training competition forms and movie choreography does not make someone a competent fighter.

He's studied wushu. Some might use wushu and kung fu interchangeably, but in the MA world wushu is usually designated to mean forms. Here's an example of a wushu competition:

These forms more or less come from the martial arts systems they represent (though some are altered to be more "flashy" or standardized). But without learning how the movements relate to combat techniques (eg. applying the techniques to a training partner) you're basically learning a dance.

Though I'm not trying to discredit wushu competitors at all. It still takes a lot of athletic ability, coordination, endurance and commitment to get the forms down like they do. They just are not worried about the "martial" aspect of the art(s). I do believe wushu competition are or are going to be included in the olympics (I don't keep up too much on form competitions.:eek: )

He could split an 150 lb punching back with a side kick. Split it, as in, send the contents spraying all over the dojo.

And he was extremely fast as well, timed at one punch in .08 seconds.
Give him 8% of a second and he's already knocked you out.

Bullshit and utter rubbish, Bruce Lee is the father of modern mixed martial arts, so while Mike Tyson would try to punch him in the face, Bruce would have snapped his knee, taken him to the ground and have him in an armlock faster than Tyson could draw back his arm to throw another punch. Bruce Lee was also one of the strongest people in the world lb for lb and he was a lot faster than Tyson could ever dream of being, Bruce also sparred with Ali, and Ali honestly said that he wouldn't even be able to touch Bruce in the ring.

Not only that, Bruce did a lot of the Martial Arts conventions to demonstrate Jeet Kune Do and his martial arts abilities, things like 1 finger pushups and the 1inch punch. The people who drew from the crowd to demonstrate on were world champions in judo, karate, etc, and they couldn't even hold a candle to him. What people fail to understand that Bruce wasn't just a movie star, he was the real deal, he was completely obsessive about his training and his training came before everything and everyone else, even his wife Linda. A lot of people also fail to realise is that Bruce is far better in reallife than in his movies, he knew that flashy stuff sells movies so he did it in his movies and he knew that flashy stuff doesn't win fights, so he didn't do it in fights.

It's correct though, women athletes want the same pay as men but are unwilling to do as much work. Look at female tennis players, they want equal pay to men even though they do a lot less matches and a lot less work in a match.

But the guy who's picture was beneath hers... his body looked sexier than hers. Hers looked gross. They both look like male bodies, but his looked more feminine and less vein riddled. And he had a far better complexion

anyways i agree with parrot of doom. that female is hardly a female after using steroids like that.

and i agree, that male bodybuilder has a much better body than the female's, and thats mainly due to the fact that its not the natural state of the woman to be able to get that big on her natural dose of hormones, and steroids helped her get to that point.
