Hey guys. We want to get this utility working for our minecraft server. At least using it to render our maps and stuff, or another way to do so... because it's really cool in the fact that you can zoom in really close and get all the up close details of the blocks(mostly anyway).

It uses google earth technology for the zooming, and is very efficient, just like google earth.

The problem is, I don't yet know how to get it to work. I tried following hte instructions but I kept getting errors. It's designed for linux, but it should be able to run on windows, he just hasn't messed with it.

If anybody wants to give it a shot and post how they accomplished getting it to work, it would be a great benefit for the server.

I think Vegeta would be willing to host it on his webspace, maybe.

In case you don't know what the hell this is... check out the examples.

I have a Ubuntu laptop that I havn't turned on in ages (the windows file got corrupt so I installed Ubuntu), I could give it a shot.

That would be great if you figure out how to get it to work, and even greater if you can figure it out on a windows machine. We could really utilize this for our server, since we have vegeta willing to host it on their webspace.

EDIT: Oh shit, think I got it working... got past the errors I was having anyway.

Rendering now.

EDIT: this thing takes an absolute shit ton amount of time to render.

Okay, got everything working, and we have it hosted on Vegeta's webspace.

Thank you vegeta for hosting it.

Can a mod change the thread title or lock this thread or something? It's been solved.

The problem I was having was that I wasn't using 64 bit version of python, PIL and numpy.
