Mirror's Edge $6 on newegg.

Wow, that's a deal! It beats $9.59 on amazon.com

Nobody should have a reason not to try this now.

i wanna play but it keeps crashing on the elevator level.

Don't need it. I got it for free, bundled with my graphics card. ^^

Free shipping too? Damn, I'm ordering. Thanks Uno.

Edit: Oh **** it all.

Game requires shader model 3.0 :/

Order cancelled.

I hate crappy console to PC ports. It was the same thing with Splinter Cell Double Agent. Shit sux.

Not a crappy port at all.
It runs smooth on my Athlon 2800 and X1650 on medium settings, and the visual difference between settings is barely notable.

I'm not talking about how well it runs, I'm talking about the compatibility aspect.

Many games now require Shader Model 3.0, just because ME needs it does not make it a shitty port.

Windows ME? Really? I thought developers didn't even bother with that OS.

He meant Mirrors edge -_-

But it's also great on the compatibility part, because it supports CPU's without SSE2(like the Athlon XP which I have)
Many games like Far Cry 2 and COD5 have traumatized me with AMD, and I was sooooo glad to finally see a good game which supported my CPU. :D

Thanks for sharing this, I've told a few others about it as well. $6 with shipping is indeed awesome.

Bummer.

Anyway, computer games with high hardware demand still lowers my apreciation for it. Unless it compensates with really good graphics. Which Millenium Edition really doesn't.

Mirrors Edge features some wonderful visuals. Have you actually seen it running or are you going off screenshots.

Wasn't funny the first time mate, don't prolong the agony :p

What is your CPU? You said Athlon XP, but what kind?

The Sountrack, the art direction and the "soap opera flair"
can't wait for Part II.

Maybe I should get it in case I buy a video card soon. I'll want something to really test it out. My most recent purchase was Gears of War... It's been like a year since I bought a game.

stemot: Dude, I'm running the game on highest possible details at a resolution of 1920x1200 at a pretty nice framerate. I've got a fair share of the graphics' potential. I'm not saying the graphics are bad. I'm saying the graphics don't compensate for the system requirements (ie. Pixel Shader 3.0).

Millenium Edition was meh overall anyway. (prolongs agony for shiggles)

And this game was totally worth 20 bucks when i got it off steam. Very much worth this price. I've played through the campaign about 4 times since i got it. Its just very fun, very polished, and a pretty unique experience. For 6 bucks, i really recommend you guys who dont have interest in it, just get it. I wasnt interested in it before, and I am damned glad I didnt let it slip by me.

And I do think the graphics are great, and make up for requiring SM3,

What I'm saying is that PS 3.0 isn't considered to be a high requirement anymore, all cards from the Geforce 6 range and up have it,.

1 - Play demo
2 - Buy full game
3 - ???
4 - Profit??? Its $6 for ****s sake. Goto step 2 for win

REordered the game along with a new video card :D

Upgrading my piece of shit x850 to a Radeon HD 3650 for only 50 bucks. Stuck with AGP so I'm making the best of it as I can't afford a whole new PC and won't be able to any time soon.

Got it like last week for $20 on steam. No regrets, great game.

And what I'm saying is, if you don't have the hardware to play the game, I wouldn't consider it worthy to upgrade your hardware just to be able to play it. Don't get me wrong, it's totally worth 6 bux if you already have met the system requirements.

Well my hardware is quite outdated, I was interested in Arma II which requires ps 3.0 as well, and also I'll finally be able to watch 720p videos.

I wouldn't call it upgrading just for Mirror's Edge. It was just the last straw.

Roight, sounds reasonable.

Not what you said here:- :p

It's system specs are not really all that high. Of course I wouldn't upgrade for Mirrors Edge but lets be honest, many games now require SM3, that doesn't make them shit ports, it just means they are supporting a feature available available since 2004.
